Something I have been making time for right now is reading. I love being able to participate in my library's Summer Reading Program, and it always seems to push my reading into higher gear. This month's inspiration challenge is "Bookish Treasures". How do you treasure books? Design a scrapbook page that highlights your favorite books, or your most recently read books, or focuses on one book that left a lasting impact on you. You can go deep on this one and focus on how books have affected your life, or stay lighter with your favorite vacation reads. I look forward to seeing your pages inspired by books, and maybe adding a few more to my To be Read List! My page is inspired by how I came to an author, and how that has opened up the fantasy genre more for me: Gentle Reminders: Challenge layouts must contain 75% TLP product (eligible product can be current or retired product from resident designers, or guest designer product that is currently in the TLP store). BYOC challenge layouts must have 90% current BYOC product from the current month's BYOC. Your page should be posted to the Lilypad Gallery and then linked to the August Challenge Layouts thread so it can be tracked, and to this thread so it can be loved on. The Lilypad uses a percent system for our challenges; the number of challenges you participate in determines the store discount you will receive at the end of the month: 2 challenges = 10% off 4 challenges = 20% off 6 challenges = 30% off If you complete 7 challenges, you will receive a coupon for 30% off, plus you will be entered to win a $50 gift certificate from the Lilypad. The first seven challenges will be posted on the first of the month; the eighth challenge is the BYOC challenge, which is posted on BYOC release day. Each page counts for one challenge (you cannot use one layout for multiple challenges).
Thank you for this challenge ! I chose to document the book I'm currently reading. The journaling explains how I picked the book because I'll just read anything about organization but ended up recognizing so many patterns associated with AAD in my own behaviour that it strengthened my resolution to finally schedule an appointment and get tested for autism (with possible AAD).
