A Week in the Life 2016?

I thought I was going to do it. Words aren't the problem for me. I cannot seem to remember to take pictures for the life of me!

I did take a couple at Ikea yesterday, but then ended up getting sick while I was there and forgot the rest of the day. LOL. Maybe I'll fake some.
Exactly my problem too! Going to be making lots of fake ones. LOL

Looks great @AnneofAlamo!! I love all of the photos!

Here's the route I'm going (I think). It's pretty stark, but I needed a different feel than my usual PL pages...

(Black border is just there to define the edges for uploading here, it won't be printed that way. Also, before printing, I will reduce everything on the background so things don't get cut off.)

Ugh... see a typo I need to fix! At least I caught it now before printing this time!

Thanks Anne! They're not all like this :-) I just started strong LOL! And it helps with the light when you have no furniture to block it... we've only lived here two and a half years, you would have thought we'd have furniture by now.

I have 9 pages done for Monday? yikes and just got to dinner!??! lol I'm rolling now! I have tonight to try and get "caught" up! It so helps to have this thread! I am determined to have this done and print two! one for my mom and dad when I go visit in July!

I wanted to do this, too... Print a version for my mom and another for my grandma, so they could see into our daily lives. The only reason I didn't is because my mom sees them all when I post them, and I'm not sure my grandmother would be able to read the journaling. I didn't use a very good font for her eyes. It was an after thought, unfortunately. :/
Although... I think I will take my printed version with me when we go see her next though, so she can look at it, and tell me for sure if she can read it or not.

You gals are awesome! I love the pages you've shared so far! I am playing along this week but I can never assemble my album during the week of documenting - that is just too much for my brain. So I am just focusing on taking photos and jotting down notes, and will (hopefully) get it all put together the following week. I've found I like a really clean and simple look for this - basically just words and photos. Although I do love this project, I don't play along every year. So far I've completed albums for 2008 and 2011.... and I did take photos and notes for 2013 but I still haven't finished putting the album together! I have Monday - Wednesday complete, and starting this project again inspired me to work on it, so yesterday I got 2013 Thursday done. This time around I'm much more relaxed and haven't taken as many photos, which I'm ok with. I think the ones I am getting are enough to tell the story.

@klee73010 Kristina - are your pages that inspired Anne on here to see?

Most of my WITL pages are in the gallery, but here's a link to the completed book, and I've put in a couple below. I used a ton of words. :) I didn't print with shutterfly, but it seemed easiest to gather and put in one place... it also doesn't have a cover, so even if it's just a white book, click through it.

These four are just one day!!

Ugh. I have 1.5. But starting to feel better so I just need some pic ideas.
I read a great blog post about this! This was some of the inspiration and thoughts I took away with it.
The story of why you exercise or why you don't.
The story of food - do you make it? Like to cook? How do they relate one meal to the next? I took a photo of the fridge door open. I'm actually surprised at how in 2 years the contents that remain the same are not as many as I thought.
The story of sleep - what's your routine? A photo of your toothbrush and toothpaste, your jammies, bedside table, sheets. For me, I have a totally different routine on the nights my husband works grave shift compared to when he's home.
I screenshot my phone and the apps on it. I added a screenshot of the apps open that I check first thing in the morning.

Does that give you a few ideas?

something I noticed from my book (or, not in my book, as it were) was how my house has changed, in just 6 months!
My kids' bedroom walls are decorated differently; there's a new toy container in the living room... the front of the fridge looks different. I just did my project in October, and it's already that much different. That's where some of those "boring" every day things are fun to look back on (in my opinion). :)
I never did get around to the outside pics of our house... pictures of how the van looks on the inside (still new-ish! :giggle)
The bath time story I did tell in my album has since changed, my running route has changed, and indeed, the focus of my running. Our favorite dinner recipes have changed... some of those things that Courtney mentioned.

anything and everything you do not normally document because they are boring and mundane.

Feeling better has helped. This gives me more to write about too.

I have pondering the written witl....and thought it would be so cool, write out your heart/thoughts, and then play with the words...word art some, change the font/size/colors use some alpha? make the words the fun!

Those are good ideas as well. I just read through AE's posts on stories and I think that will help. My perspective has changed a bit on this project. Also need to go find my tripod.

I'm really tempted to make the front cover a word art - the kind where you make the word bigger every time you mention it? You know what I mean? Like Dinner would be larger because there are 7 in the week?

@bestcee I've been journaling like crazy in the evenings. It's been very catharatic and eye opening. I'm glad I chose to push through and do this too. Thanks all for your encouragement.
