I saw something very similar to this on Instagram this morning and thought it would be a fun mindless Pad Patter for today. :)

The song that was #1 on your 16th birthday is your theme for 2023.

Mine is "How You Remind Me." (Not sure how I feel about mine...does this mean 2023 will be full of reminders? They better be good reminders and not bad ones!)

What's yours?

Number 1 in my own country (the Netherlands): When the going gets tough from Billy Ocean.

The USA number 1: Sara by Starship.

I don’t know the second song so I’m going to go off on the first one. But I really don’t want the title of the first one to be my year. :hissy

ETA: I’ve thought about it. While I really don’t want my year to get though, it’s kinda nice to now “know” I’ll get through it anyway.

The #1 song on my sixteenth birthday was Baby, Baby by Amy Grant. I am almost 48 so I know I won't be having a baby this year! Hoping for a new neice or nephew, if God blesses our family with a new baby- I am not quite ready to be a grandma yet (or, my kids aren't quite ready to be parents yet)

This was fun and interesting as number one song the year I turned 16 was:

The Way We Were by Barbara Streisand

P.S. that was the song for the year, with the actual one at the time of my birthday that year 1974
was:

Billy Don't Be a Hero by Bo Donaldson and The Heywoods

Hello by Lionel Richie. Not sure what to do with that. If I just go by the title, it sounds like I'll be saying hello a lot, but the lyrics of the song have quite a different vibe! LOL

HMM? In an attempt to reduce and declutter, I have been giving my jewelry to by daughters and granddaughter. Not sure what this means. :whistle

This Diamond Ring
Gary Lewis and The Playboys

Wow what a stroll down memory lane!!

I got "Disco Duck"
but I will stick with Rock-n Me by Steve Miller Band if it's gonna be a theme for the year. LOL!

I think you two got the worst ones! I love your ETA Berniek.

Interesting...

Maggie May by Rod Stewart!
Bette Davis Eyes <----- odd. LMAO

I don’t know these songs but the titles definitely don’t fit a yearly theme lol
