Thanks for hosting Kelly! 1.) Use a solid or lightly patterned background. 2.) Use paint/gesso/brushes to make a cluster in the center of the page. 3.) Use at least one paper piece (patterned or solid) to make a strip down the center of the page. (text paper) 4.) Place a photo on the middle of the layered strip. 5.) Add a stroke or frame to the photo, and add at least 2 layers behind the photo- wordarts/tabs/paper layers, to add some visual weight to the photo. (purple papers) 6.) Layer at least 1 foliage or floral around the photo. 7.) Tuck some thread/string into the cluster by the photo. (bow) 8.) Add at least 1 line of journaling below the photo. 9.) Place a wordart or title above the photo on the page. 10.) Add at least 1 small element (sequins/confetti/scatter) around the photo.
Thank you for this fun challenge! January 28 Blind Scrap Resize by crlin posted Jan 29, 2024 at 6:52 PM
I went pretty big with my photo, so you can barely see my photo strips behind the photo. I also went horizontal.
Thank you for a great blind scrap recipe Kelly @KayTeaPea! I've double-checked the requirements and I hope I interpreted this one "Use at least one paper piece (patterned or solid) to make a strip down the center of the page." as I literally used paper pieces from Rachel Jefferies kit to make that strip down the center. If that doesn't work, let me know and I'll correct it.
I didn't like the colors on my page, so I changed the papers. Here is the newest version: Here is my original post: https://the-lilypad.com/forum/threads/january-28-blind-scrap-challenge.91617/page-3#post-1578642
Thank you so much for the challenge, I really love how it turned out my page. Here's my take, full credits in gallery. Nice day my dear!
