It's time to vote! Below you'll see the batch of suggestions for our next batch of books to read together We need to narrow our choices down to four books, so you may vote for your top four choices in the poll list. Here are links to the books we are voting on: 1. The Masterpiece by Fiona Davis 2. The Dutch House by Ann Patchett 3. Spellbreaker by Charlie Holmberg (Kindle Prime free book now) 4. The Printed Letter Bookshop by Katherine Reay 5. Cleo McDougal Regrets Nothing by Allison Winn Scotch 6. D: A Tale of Two Worlds by Michel Faber 7. Seven Days of Us by Franchesca Homak I will leave the voting open until November 25th and the top four vote getters will be our next books to read in December, January, February and March.
BTW....looks like Seven Days of Us is getting votes...if we do that one, we should do it for Dec, since it has a Christmas setting...and is 2020 appropriate.
I'm ready to get back into the reading groove. I like Farrah's idea of Seven Days of Us for Dec. I like to read Xmas related stories in December.
I voted on the ones I could get thru the library here, the other ones might be picked up at some point in the future (I only just read the Crawdads one so I'm glad the threads are always there to go back to when I read out of order)
I'm going to go ahead and declare Seven Days of Us our December book. I posted the thread for that book HERE. Keep the votes coming for the rest of the books!
ok, I got it too. I will finish the book I'm reading and then start this! I don't know about the crying thing.... I don't like to cry.
Ok! We have our winners all picked out! Thanks to everyone who voted. I'm starting threads right now. Here are the top vote getters: December - Seven Days of Us by Franchesca Homak January - The Masterpiece by Fiona Davis February - Spellbreaker by Charlie Holmberg (Kindle Prime free book now) March - The Printed Letter Bookshop by Katherine Reay
I usually put holds on all the books we vote on just in case. Borrowing ebooks from a library is tricky sometimes.
