This is my page for the November photography challenge... The rhino - something that reminds me of the beauty of my country (South Africa). But it makes me sad to see the rhino without their horns However de-horning is part of the effort to protect these magnificent animals from poachers.
@jenn mccabe I love your LO and your words. I cried a bit when I read it, I just don't know how you and the others who love our soldiers do it. God bless you all. Mine involves mountains, because whenever I come home to them all is right in the world. It's funny as I grew up on an island in the ocean. But the mountains? That is where my gratitude swells.
Jenn, thank YOU for this challenge!!! I will make a page for England and one for Argentina, this , of course, is Brazil LOVE YOU!!!!
Had identity crisis wrapping my head around the idea of what country am I most patriotic of? Mother Russia where I was born? British? because I have chosen it for myself? Or Swiss? where I have chosen to stay indefinitely? I have possibly bent the rules of the challenge, don't judge too harshly, we are passing time waiting for our first "zoom" kind of funeral of our UK gramps. It's not an easy day.
One patriotic thing I am grateful for is the American Adventure at Epcot. Some may find it melodramatic or skip it altogether. For some reason the show always fills me with pride and patriotism, and the theme song brings a tear to my eye. No joke.
