Hi everyone! One of the things I like to do when I'm lacking mojo is to scraplift a layout. There are so many possibilities and I enjoy the challenge of changing it up to make it mine. And I'm going to combine that with one of my favorite things about the Pad - our designers scrap too! So, this month, your challenge is to scraplift a TLP designers layout! Any of our current designers are far game to scraplift. You can take a look through the Designer gallery, just make sure that it's a designer layout and not one that was accidentally loaded there. A lot of our designers played along during MOC too! It doesn't have to be in the designer gallery, but it does have to be one of TLP designers. Remember to give credit to your scraplift in the gallery! I was inspired by this layout by @KimJ : And here's my lift! As always, please remember the monthly challenge rules: Your page must contain at least 75% Lilypad product. Your page should be posted to the Lilypad Gallery and then linked to the April Challenge Layouts thread so it can be tracked, and to this thread so I can love on it. The Lilypad uses a percent system for our challenges; the number of challenges you participate in determines the store discount you will receive at the end of the month: 2 challenges = 10% off 4 challenges = 20% off 6 challenges = 30% off If you complete 7 challenges, you will receive a coupon for 30% off, plus you will be entered to win a $50 gift certificate from the Lilypad! The first seven challenges will be posted on the first of the month; the eighth challenge is the BYOC challenge, which is posted on BYOC release day. Each page counts for one challenge (you cannot use one layout for multiple challenges). If you aren't sure how to tell who created the layout, here's a tip. If you hover over the layout, you can see LynnG (Lynn Grieveson) made this layout. If you aren't positive, I'm happy to assist you! Enjoy scraplifting our awesome designers this month!
I. Must. Play. I started so many of the challenges last month but never got them completed. Life got in the way. Darn when that happens!!!
I'm choosing this one from Lynn Grieveson. I have the templates but I have hardly used them. Shame on me! This will motivate me to make a page using all photos and no papers!
I chose this template created and scrapped by Scrapping with Liz. Her templates are so versatile. My page is a little busier! Here's mine:
Such a great challenge; I so enjoyed seeing all the amazing creations by our designers! I chose to lift this one by Lynn Grieveson: And here be mine:
I Love Scraplifts!...So Much Inspiration & So Much Fun & Open To Interpretation...I Chose This Page My Rachel Jefferies: Black Hole: *Now I Know This Layout Has Seemingly A Darkish Subject Matter...But I Wanted To Change It Up Completely By Creating A Really Colorful & Bright Layout Steeped In Positivity But In A Similar Style As My Chosen Layout...The Most Striking Thing About Rachel's Layout That Initially Inspired Me Is Her Use Of A Bullseye Style Background Paper!...I Loved That!...So I Used A Bullseye Style Background Paper Also But In Brighter Colors To Further My Bright & Positive Layout Idea...In Her Layout She Went With Clouds & Rain...So I Went For The Opposite With Music Notes & Light...Rachel Has The Color Blue In Her Layout...Eventhough It Is Just A Slight Bit Of Blue...I Blew Up That Concept To The Opposite Extreme & Put A Bright Blue Sky In The Background Of The Photo I Used...Her Layout Style Here Is A Grungy Style & So Is My Layout...Rachel Used Lots Of Different Styles Of Black Paint...So I Went With Lots Of Brightly Colored Paint In Different Styles Instead...I Used A Similar Style Border Around My Layout Too...I Also Used Stamps With WA In Them Similar To Rachel's Layout...I Also Stuck To Using 1 Photo In My Layout But I Changed That Up A Bit By Going Circular To Further Contrast The Circles In The Bullseye Background Paper I Used...Rachel Used A Black Frame To Frame Her Photo...So Did I...But I Added The "Out Of Bounds" Technique To My Photo...Rachel Also Used Lots Of Layers Behind Her Photo & So Did I...And Lastly Rachel Used Rather Large WA In Her Layout & So Did I... *I Think I Covered Everything Explaining My Inspiration...If I Feel Like I Forgot Something...I Will Come Back & Re-Edit Later... *For My Brave,Bold & True Layout-I Used: *Make Art & Journal No.2-Bundle/Silent Battles-Negative Thoughts-Bundle & Wildflowers-All By Rachel Jefferies
