Hello and welcome to day 13 of MOC! For today’s challenge, we will be using a filled template created by the amazing Cheryl of Fiddle Dee Dee Designs. I love adding lots of elements and layers to my layouts and it’s so much easier for me with a template. For this challenge, you will be using Fiddlesticks No. 30 by Fiddle Dee Dee Designs. You can rotate the template, flip it and make it your own but I should be able to recognize that the template was used in your layout. Here is the template (click on the image or the link to download from the store): Fiddlesticks No. 30 by Fiddle Dee Dee Designs My layout using the template: credits: Fiddlesticks No. 30 template by Fiddle Dee Dee Designs Memory Pockets Monthly: SPARKLE by Valorie Wibbens & Sara Gleason & Sahlin Studio & Sabrina's Creations & Mommyish & Allison Pennington Shiny + Happy: Elements and Shiny + Happy: Patterns & Backgrounds by MP-Addons & Allison Pennington Sparkle On | Element Pack and Sparkle On | Paper Pack by MP-Addons & Sabrina's Creations Challenge Requirements: 1. You must create a layout using the challenge template linked above. 2. You can modify the template such as rotating, resizing or flipping as long as I can see that you used the template in your layout. 3. Your layout can be digital or hybrid but it must be a scrapbook page, no ATCs or cards will be accepted for this challenge! I can’t wait to see what you create with this template! Have fun! Other Requirements: Your page must be a new page in order to count for the Month of Challenges. Your page must be posted in three places: Uploaded to the TLP Gallery (not an outside hosting site). Posted in your page thread you created in the MOC Layouts Folder. You should have one post per completed challenge page. If you complete all 31 challenges, your thread should contain 31 posts. Please do not comment in the participants’ page threads so we can keep them clean. Posted in this thread. People can comment here if they wish. Pages should contain at least 75% current Lilypad product (currently for sale in the store from either permanent designers or guest designers).
I love the template. Thank you Your layout looks fantastic. I am hoping to catch up tonight on some layouts, but I think this will be the second one I try finish tonight.
ATCs are Artist Trading Cards in the size 2.5 x 3.5. You can find out more about them in this ATC swap thead: https://the-lilypad.com/forum/threads/tlp-digital-atc-swap-026-november-2017.50760/#post-935024 I think what @Mrivas meant was that you have to use the template for a full sized layout, not a smaller sized card or ATC.
I love Cheryl's templates but usually prefer the dressed down versions. Are we allowed to dress this one down ourselves? You only mention flipping, rotating and resizing.
I have never used a template before. I'm happy to Google instructions, but wondered if anyone could recommend a good written tutorial? ETA: I'll use Photoshop Elements 12
You can make the template your own as long as it’s still obvious that you used it. So you can make it more simple if you want to.
