I've recently had a big mental breakthrough in how I want to approach our family's albums, so I need to get re-organized. I registered for Cathy Zielske's "Scrapbook Your Year" and it's given me a lot of clarity. I'm putting together very simple month-in-review layouts using only a handful of pics from the month (like, less than 5% of what I shoot) and some basic journaling. Then that frees me up to use my more artistic scrapbook layouts to tell our family's stories, rather than the day-to-day stuff.
So, thank you for the reminder,
@bestcee - I need to get back to flagging those stories that need to be told in our scrapbooks, maybe even doing some journaling in a Word doc so that's done and I can grab the text and the photos and focus on creating during MOC.
That's another great reminder,
@klee73010 - I have all my TLP stuff tagged in Lightroom, but I need to add another flag for retired vs currently-in-shop; that way, I can create a Smart Collection to show only current product previews. I guess that means I'm safe to start that process now? I wasn't sure if I needed to wait until after the holidays or until Jan 1 to do that...

I did my first MOC in 2015, and bombed spectacularly. I think I lasted until January 4. This year, I tried it again, and completed 20 layouts. Considering I was coming off a multi-year-long scrap block, I called it a success.
During my month as a guest Polly I created 29 layouts, so I got a lot closer. For 2017, I'm determined to knock out all 31 layouts so I might,
just might, have a shot at joining the Pollys. I had so much fun in September...
