Do you ever listen to/watch comedy? Go to live stand up shows or watch on tv or watch/listen online? Do you have favorite comedians? Favorite comedy routines that you know by heart?
There is nothing quite like going to see a comedian you love and then laughing hysterically the entire evening. I've been listening to some random people on Sirius comdey channels lately (when Kennedy isn't in the car because you are never sure what is going to be said). When I used to commute to/from Seattle, there was a radio station that played the 5:20 funny, which was a lot of laughs most of the time and you got to hear a lot of different comedy acts that were PG-rated.
I remember me and my brother, back in the 80s, watching Eddie Murphy's videos over and over and over until we knew them by heart. My daughter and I have always loved Jim Gaffigan and saw him in Seattle a few years back. I saw a bunch of comedians (I can't remember all of them now) in the 90s. Tim and I saw Rita Rudner in Vegas on one trip and then saw John Oliver two years ago (my head was killing me from laughing so hard). I had an amusing phone conversation (on the radio) with Paula Poundstone back when she was a big deal. I love Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Rock, Wanda Sykes... I used to like Kathy Griffin and Ellen's stand-up routines too. I can handle a little of Bill Engvall and Ron White (although his crudeness bothers more more now). There are just a lot of funny people out there.
What about you??
