I love comedy films and programs, I have to admit I have never been too keen on stand up.... but I love Russel Howard which most of you may not know as he is British... but I got to him on stand up through a comedy/politics/news program here called Mock the Week..... that & Have I got news for you were the first British humor I actually understood and laughed ...
I have a few issues with most stand ups I have seen....
One is most of them swear so much when it is un-necessary..... don't get me wring, I do swear, probably more than I would like to..... but I find it really not tasteful... and some are sexual jokes which I really find hard to find them funny... and the very worse...is when they use other people to make their jokes, like aiming to celebrities or wanna be celebrities or ...
You just made me realize... I don't stop to watch stand up on TV, unless is Russel Howard...

We used to go to comedy clubs all the time before kids. I've seen Margaret Cho in SF a million times. Greg Proops, Wayne Brady, Patton Oswalt, George Lopez, & a bunch more that I can't think of right now. Now we just watch them on Netflix, it's not the same. But, I do love to laugh. Side note, my hubby's laugh bugs me. It's so loud & higher pitched than mine. Just one of those things that grows on you after 20 years.

I like "comedian songs" though. Lonely Island is hilarious - though not clean. Sort of like Weird Al Yankovich. the music part of it is amusing to me.

OMG. Jack Sparrow was my favorite song for THE longest time. LOL!!!! I was totally a closet Michael Bolton fan in the 90s, so that song was just perfect.

One of the radio stations here does a "water cooler question of the day" that just hit upon that. It was "According to a recent survey of women, they say THIS is the most annoying thing about their husband. What?" And the answer was their laugh, which I would have never gotten right. :giggle

my husband is totally in love with the "diaper money" song from a recent album. He has a shirt to go along with "i'm on a boat", and obviously the songs with Justin Timberlake make me die laughing every time. We're big fans. :D
