I don't see the fun in driving around in a car. It's a necessity for me. I need to drive 36 minutes to and from work every day. I do it because otherwise I have to travel by public transport for almost 1,5 hours. Plus it's much more expensive. But if I can get someone to drive and me be a passenger, then I do it. Which is what I did last year mostly. lol.
However I rather don't be in the car at all.
Also, a fall drive? What's that? Driving around and looking at the seasons changing in nature? You would never get me to go along. Like, I sometimes enjoy what I see when I am on the road, but I'm not voluntarily spending my free time in a car looking at nature at the side of the road with just that as a goal. I like going on walks or riding my bike to do that though. But then you can go INTO the nature. When you're in a car you're driving by. Can't even smell the fresh air (partly because it's not there because of the gasses, partly because you're inside a vehicle).
Anyway, I'll stop now.

To me a road trip is when you make unplanned stops at kitschy roadside attractions and other things you find on billboards while you're driving. He's a drive straight through until you get there kind of guy, with as few stops as possible. We have a place in Michigan and I have wistfully looked out the window every time we pass the little Dutch village place in Holland as we drive straight through. If we were on a road trip, we would have stopped there by now!
