Vacation Album

I LOVE mixing regular layouts and pocket pages in the same album. In fact, a layout + pocket page is my favorite way to make a two page layout. You get to have fun with artsy stuff on one side and then have a nice, organized template for lots of photos on the other.

I just uploaded this one to the gallery using some of the new SOSN goodies...

Love this. I was stuck in the idea pocket pages were 2 page spreads. This is a great idea.

I am road tripping the area right now too! Actually not going to Glacier but I have been in 2010. It was amazing!

And I'm also thinking about how to construct my album. I was thinking doing a pocket page and a regular layout page next to each other (like mentioned above) but I've also realized that this is not going to cut it every time. So I'll probably add pockets style double spreads every now and then.
And yes, I've also already bought some of the BYOC to scrap this vacation. It wasn't easy to decide what I needed and buy it with the designer discounts on shitty wifi though.. I'm excited to go back home in a week and start scrapping!

I'm road tripping part of Idaho tomorrow. Not sure yet. And yeah I'm already thinking album.

I've made many travel albums and love doing serious artsy blended pages alternating with something more structured like LynnG's various template sets. I usually keep the artsy pages on both sides and ditto for the structured pages. I also maintain background coloring the same on adjacent pages.

Did you happen to do a helicopter tour while there? My neighbor is a helicopter pilot working at Glacier National park right now :) It's on our to-do list (probably next summer!) Can't wait to see your album!

Fun pages!! I'm almost to the point where I'm ready to get started so I am definitely considering these. :)

I didn't...we just ran out of time and didn't get to do everything we wanted to. I think we may be planning on going back again next summer. There's just so much to see!!

@rchansen I hope Lynn will continue to release more of her template sets here. I have quite a few and especially like the 5 or so different sets of the Lots of Shots series. Hint Hint @LynnG !!! These are also good with the occasional full page photo pages for those photos that are extra special.

I'm in need of a vacation but not sure it will happen any time soon, so I ll just look forward to your pages to lve it through you!!!!!

I think I might have found my style...thinking something like this...
