My husband always makes himself a HUGE breakfast. Some days, it seems like he uses most of the pans in the house and leaves a sink full of dishes. But since I'm not a morning person anyway, that seems a little over the top for me. :giggle I might have a bite of hashbrowns or sometimes something like cream of wheat if I'm super hungry or feeling productive and have the energy to make something. My daughter will sometimes have dinner leftovers reheated for breakfast, and my hubby thinks that is just beyond gross.

What about you? Do you eat breakfast every day? Do you ever eat dinner for breakfast or vice versa? Are you a strictly coffee person or are there other beverages you enjoy in the morning? Do cookies ever count as breakfast?

My husband does the same :rollingpin For some reason, I cannot eat when I first get up in the morning. It takes me a couple of hours before I start to feel hungry, so I usually wait until I get to work to eat something and then it's usually something like cereal and a banana. Every now and then I like a big breakfast around brunch time. And yes, definitely to the breakfast for dinner...my son calls it brinner :) In the summer, I rarely, if ever, eat breakfast...except for coffee which most certainly does count as breakfast, as do cookies!! Sometimes, I like to pair a big glass of tomato juice with my coffee.

no way.... I know I should, it is supposed to be the most important one, but I can't even think of eating when I just woke up!!! I need coffee, lots of coffee, and then later, maybe.

For us the dinner is like a ritual, even more so now I can't cook on my own in the kitchen :( (I had a few accidents, so she needs to be with me helping) but dinner is our thing :)

now about the kitchen mess.... I dont even wanna think about Sarita's procrastination habits that extend into the kitchen!!!:giggle

When I first wake, I shuffle down the hall to get 2 glasses of water. It wakes me up. When I leave for work, I make a tea for the drive in.
Later on at work, I eat breakfast. I have to or I get to hungry. I usually have a low cal/low fat breakfast sandwich.

We eat breakfast for dinner. My kids love it... it rotates usually to about every two weeks.

My grandmother attributes her good health to 2 Milano cookies and a small glass of Coke for breakfast. She is 98, and hysterical!

This would be right up my alley - especially it it helps me live to 98 or beyond! So cute!

I am a definite breakfast eater! I usually eat steel cut oats with fruit, or an egg on toast. Occasionally cereal or something easy, but I HAVE to eat breakfast. Generally we don't have too many dishes from breakfast though - not many pots or pans or anything - usually just one, which isn't so bad. We do love breakfast foods for dinner too - usually that would mean pancakes since I don't make that type of breakfast on week days - we're too rushed!

I love your grandma's regime; think I'll adopt it.....

during the week, we keep breakfast simple... some of our options are cold cereal, fruit and nuts, toast or bagels. Sometimes I will get turkey sausage patties and English muffins and preassemble some sausage & egg white sandwiches. That way, they can just heat them up in the microwave and have a sustaining breakfast. I'll do the same with breakfast burritos - preassemble them and put them in individual baggies in the refrigerator.
We don't usually do leftovers for breakfast, but we WILL eat breakfast for dinner.
And on the weekends, when we have the time, we go ALL OUT for breakfast. It's at least an hour affair by the time I cook everything. My husband's favorite weekend breakfast would be omelets loaded with meats and veggies & cheeses with toast and homemade hash browns.
This weekend I made biscuits, hash browns, sausage, ham, and bacon (all 3 all diced up and mixed together), and scrambled eggs. Then I opened up the biscuits, layered on potatoes, eggs, meat, cheese, and any veggies anyone wanted (jalapenos, tomatoes, onions, etc) and we had breakfast biscuits....I put homemade gravy on mine as well. YUM! It's loaded w/ calories, but we only do it once a week, so it's okay. Then we're pretty full the rest of the day and don't really eat much again until dinner time.

I'm not a breakfast person. The only meal my husband and I share seems to be dinner, so for us that's the most important meal of the day.. I'll have one or maybe two coffees in the morning and maybe a cookie or small piece of toast. Occasionally we go out for brunch before shopping on the weekend - and everyone seems to dislike breakfast for dinner except me - so we don't do that...

I need to eat in the morning, but not necessarily first thing. I don't have to have breakfast foods, and actually prefer leftovers or sandwiches. Cold cereal is more like a snack for me, when I do eat it. I also like yogurt and granola or granola bars.

We do have breakfast food for dinner. Lately, we've been having waffles, scrambled eggs and sausage because my husband got a waffle maker for a gift. He makes a mean blueberry waffle with fresh blueberries.

On the weekends, my hubby is the one more likely to cook the big breakfast meal.

I have to eat breakfast or I'd die by lunch. I usually eat a couple scrambled eggs and then have a Cliff bar or something like that at my break at work. If I don't have time to make eggs at home (I have to be at work by 6:30 am) then I'll make oatmeal at work.

I LOVE to go out to eat for a late breakfast and get a platter with a little bit of everything like eggs, hashbrowns, sausage patties and a pancake. yummy! And we love to do breakfast for dinner or often for lunch on Sundays after church.

I typically have egg whites, fruit and oatmeal or a piece of toast for breakfast. I eat 4-6 times a day, so I'm the one always messing up the kitchen. lol.

I'm another one that must have breakfast (at least on the days I have uni) otherwise I don't survive the morning

i need breakfast too - although i usually don't get to it until i've sent the kids off to school (because i'm too busy!) ... i normally have a protein shake if i'm in a rush - or eggs and avocado if i have a little bit of time. i also try to make some egg and sausage muffins for the week if i'm feeling motivated over the weekend. as you can see - i like protein in the mornings LOL.

Our eating pattern in the Netherlands is very different. Most people here have bread slices with slices of cheese as breakfast. I always start the day with a bowl of fruit quark. I would not be able to actually cook in the morning (where do you find the time?!) nor can I eat anything cooked or fatty that early in the morning.

I have to have something for breakfast, but not until I've been awake at least an hour & though it doesn't have to be breakfast food, it usually is. I've been on a big Eggbeaters kick lately, with a few bacon bits sprinkled over the top, but I'm kind of craving a couple slices of cold, leftover pizza the past few mornings, so I may have to make that happen soon. We love breakfast for dinner & usually do that at least once a week, although this past week it was nothing more than a big bowl of Cheerios - but we were happy with it.

We eat cereal probably too often (we do switch up between cold and hot cereal though). Occasionally I'll make eggs and toast or a breakfast burrito for DD and myself and DH east overnight oats during the week. If I make a big breakfast it's usually for dinner or for a weekend lunch (DH is a late sleeper so DD and I tend to have a bowl of cereal and toast to tide us over until he wakes up).

I love the cookies and coke story. How awesome is that!
