Calling all Europeans (& everyone else willing to travel!!!)

For me, something in the neighboorhood would be preferable too. So that means Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam, London, ... South of france I can go to with TGV is also good.
Preferably in a weekend after midaugust.

Cynthie, I believe you will have to just bing some dates forward and people can say if they can or not.

Or you can use doodle. Do you know that? It's to make appointments, but I believe it could be good for this.
You open a doodle, share us the link and we can tick which options work for us.
That way, you don't have to list up things, it would get listed up for you.

Paris, London and Amsterdam would be doable for me! the only reserve I have in August is that we might be in the middle of a renovation project and I might not be able to leave. Otherwise I am definitely coming!!!


Cynthia can you please keep me up to speed and make sure I don't miss the meet?! LOL

right now I only had less than 2 hours sleep so my mind isn't quiet there....

I would say lets start with saying last week of August-
I ll go look at the weekend dates-
Then probably do it where most of the people are?

As I said, where money is the problem, as we are talking about one or two nights, I can have 4 or 5 people here... and may get my neighboours to lend a bedroom for another 2 people....so the most expensive thing in London is accomodation- that would be sorted-
There is always (well, most of the time- poor Agnes got the worse timing with us! but we still fed her LOL) food in here, so I can make sure none goes hungry- both Sarita & myself are relatively good cooks, here Vicky- Agnes & Juliette can vouch (anyone else from here has met us?- my mind doesnt work properly right now) for us...
So the thing would be the train/plane/whatever form of transport money and if we get together in a bar or restaurant whatever money we spend, but I can also make sure we fgo to a great place that isn't expensive and is high quality-

I know the fares are more expensive in summer, I think it was Aaga (Asali) who mentioned? but for those who can use Eurostar, the earlier you book, the cheaper it gets....

If we go to Paris, then I know a hotel in Blanche/Clichy- half a block from the Moulin Rouge, where the hill to Montmartre/Sacre Coeur starts. Is a 2 stars hotel so no luxury but is just a step away, not even 2 minutes from the Metro, good area and they give you a reasonable breakfast we were there in winter and the heating was great, is clean and I dont make a point of hotel roomns being all that as I only sleep in them.... I think is possible to get a weekend there, Eurostar included from London return for under £130-
I think Eurostar gets cheaper when traveling during the weekend... but as I said, my mind isn't quiet there right now...

I'll come back tomorrow after we ve been to the clinic with Sarita with a date, and we see how it goes from there :)

It would be soo really super duper awesome to meet you ladies.

For me Amsterdam would be the best option, looking financial. But i will wait and see what other options are there. I think if the meeting will be outside NL. we Dutch ladies can travel together!

Wendy, that would be superb!!!!! I can get some good prices but the transport I know is not always that cheap, but my daughter is almost recovered now (as a matter of fact we had some good news today!!) so I ll deal with this in the next couple of weeks!!!!
