Stuck in the middle of winter, I am so looking forward to spring! And it got me wondering what everyone's favorite season is. For me, it's most definitely FALL. I love the colors, and the warm evenings and cool mornings. Second favorite is spring, for all the growth and "new" it brings.

So, what's your favorite season and why?

summer!
kids out of school
pool
hot
laughter
long days of light
hot

fresh air in my house
fireworks
no school

I'ma fall girl too! Love the colors, the change in seasons and the weather temperature drop. Texas has brutal summers!

Autumn hands down! I don't deal well with heat AT ALL and I'm so ready for summer to end by the time it does. Plus the beautiful colors and getting my cozy hoodies and things out to wear again... and can you say hot cocoa?

I used to always love spring-- the fresh newness of everything, my birthday is in April, Easter, lots of new growth and new sweet baby animals. Then, we had those horrible tornadoes in April 2011, and my Father-in-Law died in May 2012 and I don't really like spring anymore. I don't know, I guess my new favorite season would have to be early fall-- I love soccer season, Cross Country season, new school supplies, etc.

for me Fall and warm spring days as well also the nice warm weather of fall when the sun shines between all the beautiful leaves or the fresh new ones!

2 favorites- Early spring when the trees and my roses begin to bud and bloom...The weather is perfect in my neck of the woods. Fall because it's cooling down finally and Halloween (my favorite day) is a coming.....

Spring! After a long winter, the daffodils say, "Welcome!" Nothing compares to great nodding waves of them.

Honestly, I love all of the seasons. I love the changes and the new experiences each season brings. I would have a really hard time living somewhere that didn't have all 4 seasons.

^^This..., plus shore days, sand, sun and NO HOMEWORK!

Before moving to South Florida, I would have said Summer. Now it's probably Winter. Such beautiful weather and no hurricanes.

I must say that I don't have a favourite season. Our seasons are so defined here and I just love watching them change. I would miss any of them if they were gone!

That issomething i would agree as well. even if spring and fall are my favorites i can;t miss the other 2, this makes it worth waiting for the favorite ones!

Here in Texas, we get four seasons: hot and dry, hot and wet, cold and dry, cold and wet. And you might see all four of them in a seven day span. :)

I grew up in the Northeast, so I adore everything about autumn... from the leaves that turn and set our trees ablaze in golds and reds and plums, to the enticing scents of cinnamon and pumpkin, to the sound of acorns crunching under foot ... it just makes me happy, and makes me want to nest.

My second favorite season is winter. My body doesn't like it, but my heart and soul do. The cold and pressure changes trigger flares in my fibro, but I love settling into my recliner in front of the fire, wrapped in a fuzzy blanket, with two dogs on my lap and a good book on my iPad and absolutely nowhere I have to be. :)https://the-lilypad.com//www.pinterest.com/pin/create/extension/

I love Autumn. Non San Franciscans don't realize that September & October are our warmest months. We spend a lot of time at the beach. Back to school is such an exciting time for the kids & I get to indulge my love of office supplies. Halloween is our family's favorite holiday/celebration. It's usually a good week of parties & dress up. November means our yearly Thanksgiving day in the snow. Black Friday ends my love of Autumn. Then I start looking forward to Spring, which means our yearly trip to San Diego.

And you make those dashboard hamburgers. I swear I'm gonna try it one of these days.

I love watching the seasons change, love the snow (still waiting on that one) when it's fresh and crisp and sparkly, love when it's finally gone to reveal the flowers, love the mountains turn green and then the blue skies of summer, and the nightly light shows of the thunderstorms of July, love swimming in the lake, and taking long hikes in July to the mountains where it's still spring, and going in squelchy shoes through the piles of snow, before coming to a picnic stop on the bottom of soon to be mountain lake, love the monotone sound of the cow bells, and the search for elusive edelweiss, or wild orchids, love the insects busying themselves in the Alpine meadows and the call of the Alpenhorn (not too close), then August celebrations, community spirit, fireworks, travels, more hikes, trying to cram in as many summer emotions and barbeques as possible before it's time for calm and return to school for kids. That can be a welcome change with a slight touch of sadness though, the smell of autumn, the changing colours of the mountains, amazing moons stepping up from the mountain and so bright you could read through the night, windy days that seem to bend the palm trees to the ground, endless rain, pause, and then anticipation of Christmas, crisp winter days, skating outdoors, skiing trips and cocoa, warm fleece on the sofa in front of the roaring fire, coloured by the kids occasionally throwing into the flames a sweetie wrapper or a page from glossy magazine... Candlelit dinners, long evening talking, music in the house, card games, monopoly dusted and taken off the shelf, puzzles, books, more books and conversations, tea, lots of tea and biscuits, trips to the cinema, homework, deadlines, cuddles, snowstorms, cold all the way through to the bone, birdfeeders needing refills every day, colourful visitors in the garden, short walks, long baths... and then waiting, longing, beseeching spring with the buzz of its insects, with the snowdrops and magnolia petals, cherry blossom, bicycles, endless calling meadows, soft grass... bliss
