Pad Patter 12/15: What are you reading?

Heather...yes, you need to read Matched before you read Crossed.

I'm about 3/4 of the way through Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. I'm really enjoying it and will probably get the rest of the series. I have the Game of Thrones series on my Kindle, but I think I'll wait till I finish these first. I read The Help last month and loved it!

I'm on Harry Potter's book 6...yes, I know...but it's my first time reading the series, it's almost at the end, I'm sad.....:cry

I just started The Magician King, I read The Magician a couple weeks ago and really enjoyed it.

Sorry I'm just seeing your post Heather, but yes, you should definitely read Matched first. Too bad they came backwards from the library. Hopefully you can renew Crossed a few times while waiting for Matched. It should be a pretty quick read so you should be able to get through them both.

Facebook.
:lol

Oh and cooking books all week while I worked on creating us a 6 week meal plan.

I did that earlier... created a 3-month with hardly any repeats menu. Now I'm totally burned out. Maybe we need a thread where we can post our lists/ideas so we can all compare notes and get new food into rotation.

Wow! I got so burnt out on 6 weeks I can't imagine doing double that!
And I'll be glad to post the recipes I picked. I cheated some, I only cook-cook Monday-Thursdays, and I set it up so that it went as:
Monday - Chicken
Tuesday - Pork
Wednesday - Beef
Thursday - Chicken

I just got so sick of the fact that we only make like the same 8 meals over and over so I needed us to try something new. :lol

Like Debra, I am reading The Outlander right now. I wanted another series so I hope I can get into this one.

I JUST looked at that on amazon and almost grabbed it, but i decided to finish the KMM Highlander series first. I still have 4 books (or 5?) of that one left and I like them so far, so there's no reason to switch up mid-stream. But these are definitely on my list for the future.
Also, just DL'd book one of Hunger Games. I KNOW I'm the last person on earth to jump on board this wagon, but better late than never I suppose

LOVE this idea!!

The Hunger games never appealed to me when I read the description. But it was one book I could literally not put down. I remember reading it while cooking dinner one night. It is harsh and violent but edge of your seat suspense and action.

I'm reading 3 books!!! Bloodfever which Im really loving!!! The throne of fire by Rick Riordan, Fallen by Lauren Kate, this one Im almost at the end. Just finished The son of Neptune and wanna read the last one of the hunger games. I forgot the name in English though :(

Oh... alot of these sound good.
I've read Hunger Game series (which I really liked), and the Fever Series.

I'm currently reading Here Be Dragons.
...and it was a really really hard start for me.
But I know so many of you loved it so I kept going.
I'm on page 200ish on my Nook, and it is just starting to get good.
Are the other Book in this Series related? Or are they different stories all together?

After this one I'm looking for another to start.
Which should I do Highlander series? Outlander? Or forgotten garden?
Thoughts to anyone who has read?

You all keep talking about the Highlander series? Is that as addictive as the Fever books? I loved most of the Outlander books, Krista, but they can be loooooong. I just bought my mom the Scottish Prisoner, which is a new spinoff of those books, and she said it was great. Gotta start that next!

I downloaded some books to read on the airplane for my last trip, and I read one by Kristan Higgins that I really liked. Nice easy beach read romance stuff. I'm going to check out more of her books.

I also really liked Emily Giffin. She wrote Something Borrowed, which was turned into a movie.

Robin, I think not nearly as addictive. But very good for easy, romantic-based reading. For me they are escape books when I just want to plop down and read for sheer enjoyment and nothing more.

Okay, so I am slowly making my way through Catching Fire but only because I know I'm getting a Kobo reader and I'll be able to read Mockingjay on it.. after that I'm either reading The Fever Series or will go for a light read with Stephanie Plum from The Bounty Hunter series by Janet Evanovich... not sure yet. :)

I'm currently reading, in between all the Christmas prep, "Hell to Pay" by Wendy Corsi Staub." This one has a slow start... almost half way through and nothing has kept me reading except the assumption that it's bound to get more exciting eventually... This is the first I've read of this author, and I'm wondering if her books are all like this. Anyonw else picked up and read any of her books?
