We haven't had one of these in a while! What have you read lately that you liked?

Mortal Instruments Series - I'm on book 4. Can't believe how quickly I read these!:)

I've been working on David Sedaris' Me Talk Pretty Someday for awhile and I just finished listening to Neil Gaiman's American Gods, which is now on my list of all-time faves.

I have a sad story to share from this morning! I knew my audiobook was almost done, so I went to put the next one - DreamFever - on my iphone this morning and was running late for work while I waited for my phone to sync. I was all ready to find out what happened to Mac - and then I realized that I only loaded the second half of the book! Aggggggghhhhhh!!!!!!!!
I'm getting it on there right now!

I've been reading the Hollows series by Kim Harrison. I really do like them but man, they are taking me forever to read! I am on book 6 :)

I am reading The Distant Hours, by Kate Morton. I read the Forgotten Garden by her last year and really enjoyed it. I find parts of it drag on, but then other parts are awesome and I can't put the book down.

I am reading Crossed by Ally Condie (book #2 after Matched). I had to reread matched before I could start this one because I read it at the same time at The Giver for the book club here and the two books were getting scrambled in my mind.

I haven't read anything lately that's really knocked my socks off - it's all just been okay, easy read-type books. Currently I'm reading Crooked Letter Crooked Letter, which is again an okay, decent book, but nothing "wow."

Karen, should I read Matched before Crossed? I just got Crossed from the library and I'm probably still on the wait list for Matched.

I'm reading Devil's Brood by Sharon Key Penman, about King Henry II and his kids rebelling against him (actually everyone seems to be rebelling against him). I got hooked on her novels from when we read There Be Dragons earlier in the summer.

I read Before I Go to Sleep which was a good fast read and kept me flipping pages in suspense. I was trying to read The Marriage Plot but it was slow. I got part way through and had to return it to the library. I'm not sure I will try to get it to finish. I was disappointed because it was supposed to be one of the best books of the year. Maybe it is in the last half. Lol.

I told you Patti! They are like crack!

I just finished the very long (9 books) Black Dagger Brotherhood series Patti got me reading. I am about to start the Fever series. I also have Clockwork Prince in hardback from the Infernal Devices series(prequel to Mortal Instruments) I just got.
I just got a Kindle Fire for my birthday so am going to read DarkFever first since I checked it out from the library for my Kindle.

Kenzie got Matched at the Bookfair so that is on my list too. I have seen a few friends reading The Hollows too so I put those on my radar. I also have Iron Knight from the library and have not been able to get around to it yet. lol

I just re-started Here Be Dragons today. I couldn't get into it back in September. It seemed to get off to a really slow start, plus I had just finished The Bronze Horseman trilogy and those are my favorite books ever! So, nothing has been able to hold my attention since those. I do seem to be enjoying Here Be Dragons a bit more now. Maybe this time I'll be able to finish it!

I am slowly making my way through the Game of Thrones series by George Martin. I'm on book 2 now (A Clash of Kings) but I've been reading it for 3 weeks now and I am barely 1/4 through... just going slowly. I like 'em, but they're not capturing me, so I've ended up read maybe a couple days a week. Too busy with other stuff. :)

I'm working my way through the Game of Thrones series too. I read books 1 and 2 back to back but then I needed a break. As much as I am totally hooked on the plot, they are kind of tedious to read. I read Bossypants for something lighter (which I loved!!!) and now I've just started Book 3.

LOVE The Forgotten Garden! One of my fave books!! Let me know how you like The Distant Hours once you are done!!
