Who has a long/holiday weekend this weekend?

It is a long weekend for a lot of people in the US in observance of Memorial Day. It's of course a somber day but a nice chance for a work break. I was doing some research for an upcoming trip to Europe and discovered that it's also a long weekend in some European countries too (for a different holiday).

Is it a long weekend where you are this weekend? What are you doing for the weekend?
 
I am mostly just relaxing this weekend. Although we are having some new friends over for brunch tomorrow so doing some tidying up today and figuring out what we're going to serve.
 
Yes it's Spring Bank Holiday Weekend in the UK - with Monday off. It's also 1/2 term week for schools having the whole week off.
 
I'm enjoying a 3 day weekend. Just went out to lunch with my roommate, but have no other plans.
 
My weekend will be spent relaxing and checking out the layouts. My kids are grown and I am not….:lol
 
Long weekend for me! I'm really glad. We left Friday evening for a Savannah Bananas game in TN and just got back this afternoon. Now I get to relax tomorrow!!!
 
We are lucky to have 7 family members who have been in the armed forces and returned safely. We spent some time talking to our daughter about that to appreciate and in some cases remember Grandpa K, Grandpa O, Great Grandpa O, Great Grandpa K, Aunt and Uncle C (met in the navy and married), Great Uncle L

We spent 2.5 days visiting my brother and looking at houses to move home to Puget Sound. Tomorrow, we relax.
 
Our long weekend (in Canada) was last weekend to celebrate Queen Victoria's birthday (Victoria Day). I spent the weekend in my garden, doing spring cleanup and weeding. It was nice to have a 3 day weekend! :)

Yes it's a 'bank holiday' in the UK where many of us have the day off, it also rolls into the kids half term break in my area of the UK. We are hit with a very hot heatwave and are not venturing out today, it's extremely hot but we've had a fun weekend celebrating my birthday. We are chilling at home today :)
 
Long weekend here in Norway too. Today is whit Monday and everything is closed and schools are out. We have had bad weather. Just been inside relaxing mostly.
I am still not in good shape after celebrating constitution day last Sunday, so I needed this.
 
I'm in the US and I took Friday off, so I'm enjoying a four day weekend. Woot! No venturing, just worked on getting things done around the house(so satisfying) and spending time with the hubby and doggies. Today though, will be more low-key; Of course I will be scrappin'. :clap
 
It’s been basically a 5 day jam packed weekend for us. Connor’s baccalaureate was Friday and yesterday was his graduation party. Today is Memorial Day and tomorrow he graduates. It has been fun but really busy 5 days. .
My major task was making a slide show of his school layouts that was looped during the party yesterday.
 
It has been a three day weekend for me and it's the first time in the five years I've worked for my school district that it has not bee the start of summer vacation. I think it's just a calendar thing. The last Monday of May is so early this year. We go back to school for two more full days, followed by two half days.

I had good long walks/hikes each morning. I spent more time with my family, including hours on the phone with my kids. The one who lives 3000 miles away celebrated their 25th birthday and their partner is out of town so I'm glad we were able to keep them company for hours even if it had to be by phone.

I like that so many countries have the same long weekend!
