Who has a long/holiday weekend this weekend?

My weekend will be spent relaxing and checking out the layouts. My kids are grown and I am not….:lol
Me too -- on all counts! Have fun!
Long weekend for me! I'm really glad. We left Friday evening for a Savannah Bananas game in TN and just got back this afternoon. Now I get to relax tomorrow!!!
I love the Bananas. Hubby and I were just talking about how the league is growing! Hope you had a great time.
I will try to remember to take photos.
To pharaphrase the incomparable Yoda: "Try not. Do."

We are lucky to have 7 family members who have been in the armed forces and returned safely. We spent some time talking to our daughter about that to appreciate and in some cases remember Grandpa K, Grandpa O, Great Grandpa O, Great Grandpa K, Aunt and Uncle C (met in the navy and married), Great Uncle L

We spent 2.5 days visiting my brother and looking at houses to move home to Puget Sound. Tomorrow, we relax.
I was just thinking about how I could do more to actually observe Memorial Day. My stepdad was in the Marines many years ago but besides that, no close relatives have been in the military and honestly, I don't reflect as much as I should on Memorial Day.

Also, a lot of scrapbooking time, since I didn't have to work Friday, Saturday, Sunday, or Monday! 4 days off is unheard of for me, since I usually just get Sundays off.
Nice! I took most of Friday off too and it has been a gloriously long weekend! Glad you had the break!

Our long weekend (in Canada) was last weekend to celebrate Queen Victoria's birthday (Victoria Day). I spent the weekend in my garden, doing spring cleanup and weeding. It was nice to have a 3 day weekend! :)
I always forget that Canada celebrates Memorial Day/Remembrance Day differently than the US (and my Canadian born hubby always scratches his head at the lack of poppies in the US). A Spring garden clean-up is one of my favorite things!

Yes it's a 'bank holiday' in the UK where many of us have the day off, it also rolls into the kids half term break in my area of the UK. We are hit with a very hot heatwave and are not venturing out today, it's extremely hot but we've had a fun weekend celebrating my birthday. We are chilling at home today :)
Happy Birthday! Glad you have a long weekend to celebrate!

It's a long weekend for most in our area but our family works retail and medical so we're all working. I work tonight at 9 pm till morning. We do love holiday pay though!

It has been a three day weekend for me and it's the first time in the five years I've worked for my school district that it has not bee the start of summer vacation. I think it's just a calendar thing. The last Monday of May is so early this year. We go back to school for two more full days, followed by two half days.
My mom also has this week and part of next week before she's off for the summer. Teachers go back the first week of August.

She spent today helping me continue organizing my homeschool bookshelves since the science shelf alone spills onto a second shelf now :giggle I swear I didn't reclaim *that many* books from her closet.

I loved that holiday pay when I was working in a call center. My kid would usually be at his dad's, so I might as well work and make more money! I sure admire people who work overnights. My roommate is one. I don't think I could do it!

This long weekend is our Wedding Anniversary! May 25. Chosen because my dh who had been commissioned in the Navy just 2 years earlier, knew that his friends (many military) would have the long weekend. It worked out because most of the wedding party and guests were all on the same ship!

But I digress...we are celebrating at home with our daughter (who lives with us). It has rained/poured for4 days straight (all day long) and we have been captive in our homes.

King's Birthday holiday for me too! Wait, actually, no, because we work for Australians and they celebrate on a different day :lol

My daughter has a long weekend off school but we're just chilling at home and preparing for my oldest daughter to come home this week. She's bringing her bf with her to see D.C. for the first time so we're charging up our personal batteries for a week of people-ing and home-town touristing!

It’s a long weekend for me too. I flew to Texas on Saturday and I am here tending Weston while his parents go be leaders at a youth camp for our church.

My middle son plays college baseball and it was the conference championship series this weekend, so we went to a couple of baseball games (until they were unfortunately eliminated). Yesterday we rented a paddle boat, and today has mostly been errands (not great weather). I'm leaving tomorrow morning for a work trip, sigh ... so I'm packing, etc and will leave the house at 4:30am :cryand will be gone until Thursday super late (I'll be lucky if I get home before midnight).

We got Monday off work for Memorial Day, and I took Friday off, so I had a four day weekend. We worked our backsides off on house projects all weekend though, so I'm actually rather glad to be back at work so I can sit down! :giggle
