Happy St. Patrick's Day! Are you wearing some green today to avoid getting pinched? :giggle I don't think adults really do this, but I do remember it being a thing when I was in grade school. Lol. Other than wearing green, are you doing anything to celebrate? I was invited to visit my friend in Chicago for the river dying day where they dye the Chicago river a very bright green. I've gone to see it before, but I decided not to this year. (they did it on Saturday).

I remember the school days and wearing green not to get pinched. I always used my mom as an excuse not to get pinched, she's got sottish and irish roots lol....and now that my husband's last name is Fitzpatrick, I use that as an adult anytime this day rolls around.
rofl

But I did wear festive panties. just in case......tmi I know....but I love a good festive pair from Lane Bryant!!!!

Yuppers :) I don't like being pinched LOL

I said to my hubby this morning.. Kiss me I'm Irish :)

Getting ready to watch the St. Patrick's Day parade live from Dublin on YouTube!

We are having our Irish dinner with Irish Brown Bread and an Irish Coffee for dessert :) Of course a Guinness Pint too! We had the dinner on Saturday but will have leftovers today!

We used to say our underwear were green if we forgot to wear actual green. :giggle Love it!

I KNEW you'd be celebrating! :D

I just asked DH if he’s wearing green lol my toenails are painted green but I’m in my work out clothes right now so no green until I get dressed for the day. I also made green jello to eat today along with Lucky Charms cereal and rainbow candy (airheads extreme bites).

So fun! You're all set for today then! :agree

I'm currently still in my pajamas but I'm planning to dig out my St. Patrick's Day shirt from the blood bank to wear today. It's going to be an extra lucky day today if my husband gets to come home from the hospital. (Our 2017 'celebration' was our newborn in the ER and NICU so I do not love this date anymore.)

St paddy’s day was ALWAYS a huge holiday in my home growing up! My mom an O’Sullivan and my dad a Scot of strong decent.
Every year my dad would pull out a coffin from our attic. Yep. Truth! A 3 day party(wake) began. So many kegs of beer, corn beef, and Irish music.
I was actually surprised that the rest of the world did not celebrate this day of St. Patrick! Erin go Braugh! Ireland Forever was culture and such a happy time.

I do have green (olive) pants on and sparkly 4 leaf clover earrings in today!

Didn't even realize it was St. Paddy's Day. It's been a long time since I had green beer and don't think about wearing green on that day.

I'm wearing green today but didn't check if hubby was wearing green when he left for work today. I seemed to have picked up a cold while traveling last week and I've got a foggy brain and stuffy nose... ughh!

No, not wearing green, didn't even think about it and if I had remembered, I'm not sure I actually have any green. It's not a color I tend to wear. Happy St. Patrick's Day!

The two worst days to work in a school - St. Patrick's Day and April Fools' Day :lol
We had a virtual day because of snow (again), so I didn't have to worry too much about it, but my nails are currently green.
I really would love to have some corned beef and cabbage, but we're opting for McDonalds lol

I've got Irish in me. My dad's mother was a Casey. Her grandparents came over from County Kerry, Ireland around 1864. Their 2 oldest children were born there and the other 5 (including my great-grandfather) were born here.

Didn't have to worry about pinching today since I never left the house. Snow on the ground this morning and the temps only in the 20's all day. As for clothes, I didn't even think about it. But I put on the sweatshirt and sweatpants I had on yesterday and they do have green on them... they have Seattle Seahawk logo on them and one of their colors is green.

I forgot it was St. Patrick's Day when I chose my clothes this morning but I happened to choose a dark green turtleneck. It was fun seeing so much green at work today.

Didn't even realize it was St. Paddy's Day.
I was the same until the Facilitator of my online course asked if we'd celebrated St Patrick's Day at work & I was like nope, didn't even realize....all I knew is it was Tuesday at 4pm!

We don’t really celebrate St Patrick’s Day in France, apart from in a few bars, but there’s nothing organised at school.
I don’t like wearing green, but my youngest son loves it – green is his favourite colour.

Not something I've ever celebrated in England. There are the political connotations (England/Ireland). I think pubs may make a thing of it in some places purely for marketing. But no, not a thing in England.

And although green is my favourite colour, it's one I rarely wear.

Oh my! I can see why you wouldn't like this day! I hope your husband was able to come home and whatever he was there for is resolved!
