Hi Everyone! I always feel a little nosy asking all the questions, lol!

What are you watching or reading?
Do you watch TV?
Do you read books?

I am into Football, so DH and I watched that together yesterday (I can still pop in or scrap too) then we discuss bets if we made any on FanDuel, lol!

I'm reading The Wedding People by Alison Espach. I was thrown off in the beginning but interested to see how this book plays out. I sure hope it's not how it was first presented. Then I won't like the book.

I am on book 110 or 112 goal for the year, lol!

We just finished watching Newsroom (AGAIN - love it) and yesterday watched Reagan.. we rented it from On Demand... Also of course Outlander season 7 part 2 :) I am looking forward to Jan 3 as my shows that I love are returning... When Calls the Heart and The Way Home.. also this week on Netflix Virgin River new season is back too!

Reading: Waiting for the new Scarpetta book by Patricia Cornwell to be available for me at the library.. that and the Riley Keough/Lisa Marie Presley digital copy to be available from the library.. they are both on hold with people in front of me.

I have been reading books in order (series books) by Maddie Day which are quick reads :)

WOW! That is a lot of books in one year! I knew you read a lot, but WOW! Very impressive. The Wedding People is on my old list and should be here in a few weeks. Looking forward to that.

Reading: I just finished Jackie (for the TLP book club) last night. It was good, but hard for me to connect to at the beginning which was unexpected.

Watching: We've been watching Silo on Apple TV which is also based on a book series and is really good. We are caught up until the next episode comes out on Friday. Then we started the new season of The Lioness on Netflix. That's also good, but this season isn't as good as the first season in my opinion.

When friends ask for shows to watch, you gave me some to share! haha!
I used to read the Scarpetta books, but lost track where I stopped. Series books are my favorites! I like good books, and fancy booklist books, but I love me some cozy mysteries, and fluff series too!

Reading: Just finished re-reading An Echo in the Bone (Outlander 7) and started on Written in my Own Heart's Blood (Outlander 8) in prep for watching the Outlander Season 7, Part 2. Am waiting until January when the entire season is released before re-subscribing to Starz. Also finished reading "The Boy From Block 66" by Limor Regev. A Holocaust survivor's story.

Watching: I've been watching E.R. on Hulu, I'm up to season 13 I believe. Will watch Virgin River's new season when it releases later this week.

I am actually lowering my goal for next year. I felt the pressure to read. A first for me, and I don't want it to be forced. I want to scrap a little more, and then maybe watch a show here or there. I think I'll go with 90, lol! During Covid, I read 162 books! lol! I usually range from 100-140 give or take.

I will look for Jackie, and our TLP books. I always forget and just start reading randomly!

Oooo, I'll look up Silo as a book series then!

I might have to give the Outlander books a try! I don't know that I would watch the shows, but I might read the series. That and I hear Bridgerton is a good series too!

I haven't read for a couple of months. Been more involved in cross stitching, genealogy and jigsaw puzzles. I haven't even scrapped much the last couple of months! I put myself on a hiatus for stitching and genealogy at Thanksgiving until after New Year's hoping to spend more time scrapping. Have done a few pages but not as much as I had hoped. My eyes need the rest from the computer screen so I've been doing the jigsaw puzzles to give the eyes a break.

As for TV, during college football season my TV is on football all day on Saturday. More a fan of college than the NFL. With bowl season starting I'll have the TV on football most days the next few weeks. I'm a reality TV fan and have a couple of shows I watch so watch them weekly. Although I did binge watch The Traitors Australia season 1 around Thanksgiving. Next up is season 2 Australia then season 1 of New Zealand. I love the show, The Traitors. Already watched both seasons of USA and UK.

Jenn you will love the outlander books.. I have read them all plus all the extras.. re Bridgerton, yes those books were also fantastic and then watching Outlander on Starz and Bridgerton on Netflix.. really nice :)

Just be warned that there is quite a bit of violence and sex, lol!!! That said, I've read each of the books multiple times. Each time a new book is due to be published I re-read the prior books.

I can handle that. I go from one extreme to the other. Extreme romance to mysteries, to historical fiction and then even the world is going to end series. lol!

Do you watch TV?
Not in the traditional sense. I watch on demand.

Do you read books?
Not really anymore. I used to be a big reader when I was young but I think years of reading for college sucked the enjoyment out of reading for me.

What are you watching or reading?
Watching: New Zealand Breaker's basketball games - that's at least one to two games a week from late September through February/early March depending on playoffs. Given the current state of 'play' I think it will probably be only til February as we are 9th out of 10 teams with about 12 or 13 games to go. Other than that, I'm watching various versions of Love Island & The Voice - I generally know the results so it's just a bit of fluffy reality tv viewing for me.
Reading: Nothing really, the odd magazine here and there but no heavy duty books.

What are you watching or reading?
I just finished up the new season of Queer Eye. I love that show and was so excited to see the new season pop up! My weekend consisted of that and football!

Do you watch TV?
We don't have cable, so I watch whatever I can find on Netflix and Amazon Prime. I've been in kind of a funk with shows until this past weekend.

Do you read books?
I LOVE to read, but I don't get much reading done during the school year.

I read books a lot, don't watch any t.v. unless you count a few t.v. clips that are made available on YouTube. I watch a lot of YouTube.

I use Storygraph to track my reading, and I've read 28 books so far in 2024. The last few were . . . Unseen City: The Majesty of Pigeons, The Discreet Charm of Snails & Other Wonders of the Urban Wilderness by Nathanael Johnson, a very interesting and sweet book . . . How To Age Disgracefully by Clare Pooley, very funny . . . and (believe it or not) for the first time ever, The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett (via my falling asleep app, The Sleepy Bookshelf), which I found very interesting. This year I have also been rereading the Anne Of Green Gables series and I'm currently on #5 Anne's House of Dreams. Anne is one of my favorite characters. Oh, and I want to mention also, late in the summer I read Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir, author of The Martian. I liked both, but loved Project Hail Mary even more.

On YouTube I watch a lot of travel, science, and history.

We just finished watching season 1 of The Empress which was really good. I didn’t know anything about the Austrian Hungarian empire so had to look up a lot of info on Wikipedia.
I’m currently reading The Lonely Hearts Hotel which is a bit slow going so far.

I really loved the first book, and I read all of them up through the one that was supposed to have been the last one. I got frustrated with the way that one ended and never went on to the next book. But I do love the time travel and historical aspects to this series.

I think I only watched season 1 (on Netflix). Maybe one day I'll continue with it.

I seem to be bouncing around a bit with shows (on-demand). I did just finish up the the last season of Death in Paradise, then went on to Beyond Paradise. I ended up getting the black friday deal on BritBox as these never seemed to come to my PBS station.

I forgot the new season of Virgin River was due out, I'm looking forward to that one.

Reading -- always have a book, I've been working through a few crime and lawyer series on Kindle Unlimited as I wait for the next book from the library in the Cork O'Connor series by William Kent Krueger. Plus a few others on my holds list.

(And I will be canceling both BritBox and KindleUnlimited when my promotions expire.)

My hubby's been watching his football, but I haven't watched much because of our cross country move. We did watch Christmas with the Kranks and the Grinch the other night. I've also got a bunch of shows on the YoutubeTv DVR, so I hope to catch up on them soon.
various hallmark christmas movies - that hubby won't watch with me. :giggle

And like @cfile Christa, I'm looking forward to the new seasons of When Calls the Heart and Virgin River. I didn't know the new season of Virgin River was coming out, so I'm glad it was mentioned here.

There's also a new Sherlock Holmes tv series coming in January called Watson. I need to figure out if it'll be on Youtube Tv or if I'll need paramount+ to watch it.

I "read" a lot -- via audiobook. I think I'm close to 90 books this year. I don't watch much TV but would much rather listen to a book while I putter around the house, scrap or play a game on my ipad.

I do watch some shows with DH though. We just finished Man on the Inside on Netflix which was cute and fun. my daughter and I are watching the new Queer Eye episodes. <3

What are you watching or reading? Currently (like right at this moment :D ) I'm watching a Bailey Sarian Murder, Mystery and Makeup Monday video on YT. On Netflix, I started watching No Good Deed.

Do you watch TV? Yes, mostly True Crime stuffs...along with some trashy reality tv.

Do you read books? I mostly listen to them on Audible now. Right now I'm listening to When We Lie by Claire Contreras.
