I found a great recipe for homemade granola, sometimes I use dried cranberries, and sometimes raisins. Basically the base recipe includes oats, sliced almonds, honey, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, vanilla extract, little bit water, little bit vegetable oil - I use canola so the tastes are not altered-, raisins or any dried fruit, all mixed well in a large bowl, then spread onto a baking sheet, baking n the preheated oven ( 325 F or 165 C), stirring every 15 mins. until golden brown and crunchy. I've read some people use brown sugar instead of honey and adds flaked coconut, but I suffer allergy to coconut, so I'm using almonds. I really love this recipe, it's easy and cheap.

There is a local woman here in the Phoenix area that makes the most amazing grain-free granola (e.g., pecan pie flavored) and I really like to have that with some fruit and yogurt. Now I'm getting hungry.
These days, I'm more likely to order it at our local nitro-frozen ice cream place that has cereals as topping options. Yum.
