Thank you so much for sharing the Swedish typical menu, so interesting. I love fish, and salmon is my favorite, so I will check out some of the dishes.
Please try the porkkanalaatiko and the perunalaatiko that are part of the Christmas caseroles. For the carrot caserole (porkkanalaatikko), I fried fine chopped onion in a little bit butter, well actually not completely fried but just few seconds, and then I add this on top, before to place into the oven, then and I add crumbs and some sliced butter here and there, and place into the oven, till done, and really add a great taste the onion, my aunt gave me this tip.
