Love to read all those delicious menu's. Here in the Netherlands gourmetten (I don't know if there is a English word for it) is very popular and we do it also every year with christmas. We all cook for ourselves, have all kinds of meat of vegan, vegtables and in the little pans you can make a pancake, egg of what you like to eat. All with bread and sauces. So everyone can make what you like and I only have to get the groceries. My kids love this since they where young and still want to do this every year.
