I Did it! My First Hybrid Page!

Lol! I speak for self, but I have a variety of journals! As time goes by I think your eyes will be on the lookout for "sales." And when you see a journal at 50% off you'll be like "I have to have that!"

Probably! LMAO!

I use that gummed packing tape - it's reinforced with string and you have to wet the one side to adhere it to make handmade junk journals, I use an old book cover and then put my own misc papers inside it.

I'm not sure I know what you mean. Can you post a picture of it?

Don't worry about bulky! It should be whatever makes your happy or gives you the feels at that moment.

I didn't think I would feel so relaxed doing this! The most stress I had was making sure not to stain any of my husband's art supplies as I'm using some of his until I get mine! LOL He's very fastidious.

LOL!!!! Oh, I forgot to mention. When you are creating some people like to put wax paper under the paper they are coloring so it doesn't go through and makes the pages stick.

I have butcher paper over the entire table and the paper towels under my page.

@Pachimac @ArmyGrl If you guys are interested in making your own book, look up Coptic book binding on YouTube. This particular lady has great videos. I've done several book using her technique where I cut a super thin sheet of wood for my covers and drilled holes along the edges and then made several booklets with printed TLP papers as the covers and regular printer paper for the insides of the booklets/signatures and then sewed them all together. I used several of those for my journals for a couple of years and they are fantastic because they lay flat... so you could make lots of art in that type of book:

Wow Susie that looks amazing! I love the sprinkle of sequins and how you tucked in the tickets!
