January 18: All black or all white with B/W photo

Wow - what a search, but so much more fun than I thought it would be. I have been waiting to make this page and I think the pure white suits my little kitty's memorial page. Thanks for pushing me way out of my comfort zone!


Elements: clouds, scatter (used 2x), button, brad, heart, heart stitches, 2 different flowers, lace, flower cut out, 2 different paints

What a challenge! I went with all black - 10 elements (not including title) x3 different foliage, x1 flower, x1 heart, x1 messy thread, x1 paper piece, x1 fish bone, x1 grid, x1 string bow.

 

3 black papers
black paint
3 black ribbons
black string
7 black flowers
2 black bow
black frame
1 b/w photo
1 black label stamp
2 black word arts
1 black date
 
This only took me 24 hours!!! I had SO much fun with this.. started right after midnight and it is now Midnight again... I have actually played off and on all day long... Could NOT resist doing both a white page and a black page... listing the white one for credit.. both pages have many items, the white one has lots of gesso and the Black one bunches of stamps, and paint... This is the Wedding photo of my in laws... I never had a copy... only a blue "sun print" on a pillow my sister in law did , that I asked for after she died.. I also asked for the original photo which I never got... a few days ago, I was stunned to find that photo posted on ancestry.com... I asked to have a copy, and got no reply, but realized the full size image had been uploaded and just copied it from the site... thrilled to find it in such great condition.... enjoy!!!!

Amanda dear lady, thank you so much for the fun challenge, and for the chance to use some elements that I didn't even know I have in my stash. Full credits in gallery, here's my take
10 elements at least (I used a little bit more)
3 doilies, 2 white feathers from Sahlin Studio, 1 small white feather from Paula Kesselring, 2 white small flowers (tucked between the frames), 2 white flowers with button center, 1 white gesso used twice, 1 white heart
1 paper
1 white paper from Designed by Soco
Extra
2 white frames, 1 white word art

Really curious....how has everyone found their products for this challenge? Just a general windows search or something different. I don't want all my white or black alphas in the search if at all possible but can't see any way around it

I looked at the previews of kits I have and worked that way.

I went through my Halloween folder first and found most things there. Then used the folder previews and anything with black in it I would peek inside.

I hardly have any halloween items at all unfortunately otherwise that would have been an excellent starting point. I haven't actually decided on any photos yet as I'm trying to see what I have first
 
The simple version, I really lover my other one though , but the upload showed Lt grey , not white

5 different 1 double snowflakes, 2 sprinkles, i gesso piece, i tree.
 
10 elements:
Ribbon, lace, frame, doily scrap, paper scrap, paper flower, bookplate, lace banner, vellum doily, vellum mat (repeated twice).

1 paper:
Lightly patterned white background paper.

Extras:
White wood paper, glitter brush, glitter scatters, vellum stars (2 pieces), washi tape.

I hunted all of my favourite kits.. like quickly scrolled through each element and paper to find something that is white. Then I created a shortcut of each item and placed them inside a subfolder in my MOC folder (for Mac, just press the Command & Option buttons simultaneously while dragging the items - this will quickly create shortcuts).
