Hope I'm not leaving anyone hanging, but it is wayyyy past my bed time. I'll be back bright and early if there are anymore questions! Y'all are fantastic and I appreciate so much your willingness to help me and each other when we need it!!
I’ve been looking around YouTube for a way to do this in either affinity photo or using over app. Haven’t found anything yet. Does anyone else in the challenge use Affinity Photo on an iPad Air
i am eager to see all the pages for this one, because currently I don't know how I'd use this in future pages. I'm hoping I'll see something I love and want to recreate. Definitely jump in and give it a shot, it looks super intimidating because it's step by step, but it's not as hard as it looks. (At least i found that to be the case!) 20191129carshowsmall by klee73010 posted Jan 4, 2020 at 10:43 PM
I used PSE and made individual rectangles that were then "masks" for my photo and colors....hopefully it fills the requirements, let me know if it doesn't. My 3 colors are mint, ochre and brown
Thank you so much for this fantastic challenge, Jan @IntenseMagic I used the colors orange, pink, blue and green
Thankyou Jan @IntenseMagic for the easy to follow instructions which I enjoyed working along with. My added colours were a red, grey and green ( to put back the green into the burnt trees)
I don't believe it! I've managed to achieve the technique using Affinity Suite. Boy was that a steep but very valuable learning curve. Haven't scrapped the page yet but still feeling very pleased with myself.
@Firstoscartgrouch I've just used Affinity on desktop, I started in Illustrator where I normally scrap but found I needed to be in Photo to complete it. I'm not sure how different the iPad version is but I do have it but haven't used it much. It's getting quite late here but I can look tomorrow if you still need help.
I wasn't too thrilled with this technique, but I played around with it a bit more and came up with this version that I like better (and it was easier doing it a second time)
Journaling: When Melissa was almost 7, she did a photo shoot for her Dad's company. He was the graphic designer and they were going to do an ad campaign with faces of many children of different ethnicities and superimpose the world on their faces. Melissa was chosen for it, but in the end, the director said she wasn't "ethnic enough", and they dropped her for "browner faces". We were disappointed, but at least we were given the photos they took. I used a green, blue, red, yellow, and peach colorization. Elements used: Makers Gonna Make Collab everything else! Thanks I found the tutorial for suite but on my iPad Air I don’t have a pencil, but the tutorial gave me enough instruction I could make a way to make it work, I hope.
See this thread.. Jan posted 2 different things for PSE users https://the-lilypad.com/forum/threads/january-5-grid-photo.68804/#post-1202154
