Susan, I would go back into PS and click on the History. Flattening the file was a “step,” so you may be able to step back to the stage the file was in before you flattened it. Just click on the last thing you did (in the list) before the flattening, and the file should revert to the previous state. I had the same thing happen to me when I first started using PS, and I was able to get the layered file back. If you’ve shut down PS since then, it might not work. Doesn’t hurt to try...Too bad I'll never be able to print it up - it's permanently saved flattened at 72dpi.
