January 18: Elements on a Path

:helpy Help please!

I don't use Photoshop or Elements and I'm a bit confused about this challenge. Is there some way to create a path in either of those two programs and then automatically add elements to it or are people creating a path and then placing their elements on new layers above the path?

(Vectors and I are not friends, I can make paths but rarely do so.)

I typed 2 0 1 9 and reduced the opacity a lot, just as a guideline while I was placing my stitching. Then I turned off that layer with the numbers. (See previous post for my page.)

Did Christa answer your question? You do not have to create a path. You can find an element in your stash, like a circle of stitching or a doodle and then put your elements individually above the path element. Do don't even have to have a path to begin with. You can just drag and drop elements to create your own path. Does that make sense?

Fun challenge, Karen. I wanted to use a circle (and will another time) but I also wanted to use photos I needed to scrap. So I chose a cactus to represent the desert.

I used 16 elements on the cactus.

Well that just answered my question I sent you in a PM. lol

1-18-19 - Elements on a Path

I chose to do a 'ring' path and use my daughter's engagement ring. She took this photo for one of her lighting classes and I just love the ring against black background.
The date is when they got engaged.

Yes, thank you both. So technically we're not even using a path...yay! I can do this. :D

My path is a circle, I used a stitched circle from Flergs In My Imagination (though you can barely see it peeking through all 107 Embellishments!)
