I guess I'm a bit confused and already did mine, I created a boarder using brushes I drug along the boarder to create the brushed edge was this correct? ETA I’ve read though your first post slowly ( Sorry menopause has me in a brain fog) I did create mine correctly thank you.
can anyone tell me name of a brush to use that comes with either photoshop or photshop elements to use for this kind o f surprised that full photshop has so few included brushes - my ancient pse10 has more
In the past if I wanted to ink up or darken the edges of the papers or ellies I've always used the burn tool (or dodge tool to lighten). Love learning a new way to do something Thanks!
Thanks for this new (to me) technique! Here's my layout. I "inked" the outside edge of the patterned paper background, the playing card and the ticket.
PS comes with a lot of brushes, but they aren't preinstalled. From the gear in the upper right corner, there should be a listing of brush types. You can add any of those to your pre-existing library of brushes. Make sure to select "append" to add them to your existing library (if you hit ok, it will overwrite and replace what you currently have). There are lots of choices, but "natural brushes 2" includes some watercolor brushes. HTH!
thanks , thats the list pse 10 has but NOT photoshop cc i didnt want to install pse 10 because if i do will stop using photshop cc as i am trying to learn to use it . but on other hand so fed up with it trying to scrap this may just be the excuse i need to do it.
hugs my dear.. your page looks lovely! Believe me re menopause.. understand completely.. a few weeks back it took me 20 minutes to remember the item I wanted was a paper clip.. crazy what that does to us ladies.. they said side effects go away after 10 years.. I am on year 12! Hugs!!
That's very strange your version doesn't have that option, my screenshot is from PS CC! I've never used PSE, only PS. Every version of PS I've used (CS2, CS5 and PSCC) has allowed me to load preset brushes.
@zanthia In photoshop CC you have the option to choose 'get more brushes'. That takes you to the site of Adobe, log in and you can download a lot of brushes! Only for PSCC!
Now this was FUN!! I went a little crazy having 5 different layers of paint varying in color and opacity. Then never being able to quit playing, added another with a style from nbk-Eclectic (Copper) Paint is on background paper and the photo mat.
Thank you for this challenge. This is an 'after' picture of my sons room after making it a 'big boys room' . Every night he choses where he goes to sleep now. ;-)

Maybe it's because I chose black, but this really did show up better when I was working on it in PS CC. Let me know if this is ok. I really did use a brush - 2 layers, in fact.
