JANUARY 11: Art Journaling-What's on the INside!?!

I hope you are ready.
I am here to hold your hand and encourage you to play and create.
Your page will be unique to YOU!

art-journal definition:Noun (plural art journals)
1. A collection of words and or images in a diary that chronicles the ideas, memories, and thoughts of an artist.

Today, we are going to create a page that chronicles (tells a story) with words(word art, fonts and or alphas) and or images(elements and or photos).
The subject: What is inside (YOU)? in your brain, your heart or just things that consume you. This can be hobbies, collections, emotions or even colors. This is the art journaling portion. This is a page out of the ordinary (unless you art journal already).

Download the FREE silhouettes from Rachel Jefferies. Click Here or on the image

  1. CHOOSE ONE of the silhouettes for your page. ONLY ONE.
  2. Place anywhere on your page. YOU can GO BIGGER but NOT SMALLER. You can crop it to be just a part of the silhouette also.
  3. Fill the silhouette with the challenge subject, What's on the INside?
  4. Nothing can go BEHIND the silhouette. NOTHING. No Paper. NO element. (It should be a blank background. NOT a paper.)
  5. EVERYTHING must be touching the silhouette.
  6. It can hang off, but it can NOT be on its own.<<----this
  7. The shape of silhouette must still be visible or apparent on the page
A few pages for inspiration and ideas (but remember NO paper for background)

Here is my page:

To recap the rules:
It can hang off, but it can NOT be on its own.
  6. The shape of silhouette must still be visible or apparent on the page.
FINE PRINT RULES FOR EACH CHALLENGE
“Your page must be a new page in order to count for the Month of Challenges. Your page must be posted in three places:
  1. Uploaded to the TLP Gallery (not an outside hosting site).
  2. Posted in your page thread you created in the MOC Layouts Folder. You should have one post per completed challenge page. If you complete all 31 challenges, your thread should contain 31 posts. Please do not comment in the participants’ page threads so we can keep them clean.
  3. Posted in this thread. People can comment here if they wish.
Pages should contain at least 75% current Lilypad product (currently for sale in the store from either permanent designers or guest designers). ”

This is for any updates or answers to questions you may have. Check in here!
Good luck and enjoy!
1. Can I (we), use a different Silhouette from the ones provided?
Sorry, NO
For this challenge, I am a stickler.
ONE of the provided silhouettes must be used.
You may crop or make bigger (not smaller) to personalize. I know you can all do this, and do it awesomely!

2. Can we add a drop shadow to the silhouette ?
That would be no sorry. Let’s keep the shadow a true silhouettes
But feel free to shadow anything in or on the silhouette.

oh Gennie!! tell your friend hello and I am tickled pink ya'll are scrapping!

well let me fix that!
It's working! Thanks! I don't know if you did that or the computer decided it wanted to work! :) Either way, I'm doing this right now! Interesting challenge! I like reflecting on 'me' from time to time in my scrapping, not too often, but occasionally! :) My friend Janet says 'Hello' back! What time is it where you are, and, where are you????

I am in the US, in the middle of the great southwest - New Mexico. Think Billy the Kid (the outlaw land) and it is 4:50am! I usually get up at 5am, but wanted to let those across the pond get this going too!

FABULOUS challenge!!! WOW, can't wait to play!! Off to drive across state today but will plunge into this when I return tonight!!
be safe and be pondering what is inside you, cause I am expecting a page from you young lady! lol ♥

interesting, I knew it would stretch my scrapping abilities when I saw @AnneofAlamo was hosting.....will have to sleep on it and decide what to do tomorrow.

@AnneofAlamo is it possible to use one's own silhouette? I love making and using the silhouettes anyway, and I do try my utmost best to make scrapbook pages ONLY if they are pertinent to my family story-keeping...

Perhaps for another challenge, but for this one,
you can crop and or make bigger any of the three.
You must use one of the silhouettes provided.

But, that being said, I would love to see your page later with your own silhouette! ( I love them too)

@AnneofAlamo just trying to find a loophole in a ninja sneaky kind of way, could one for instance shorten the nose on the silhouette provided, or cut the asymmetric hair bits off? Nothing dramatic, but just enough to fool myself?

lol, you are a ninja...just let me recognize the silhouette, fool me and you get by...bhahwhahahah a crop just might cut the nose or the asymmetric hair bits off

I have NEVER ever done a page that fast in my scrapping life! But this appealed to me straight away and thanks to Kristin Aagard's awesome kit, I knew right where to go! Thanks for the challenge Anne! I REALLY loved doing this! :) This is totally so me, this page! It just needs 'Friends' added in! Hee hee! :)
