Your scrapping set-up | Pad Patter 4 Jan

I've got two huge 25" inch monitors on my desk. I LOVE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm currently sitting on the floor of our family room, with my laptop on the coffee table in front of me. This table is almost 30 years old; it was in my childhood home and was "gifted" to me when I moved into my first place. My laptop has a 17" monitor and a full keyboard (and I use a wireless mouse). I also have a 22.5" monitor that I keep saying I'll use along with my laptop, but I just haven't found a desk I like that's also (1) comfortable and (2) affordable and (3) fits the space where I want it. So I have spent years sitting on the floor to scrap. It's starting to be hard on the knees and back! :imok I need an actual chair, and @bellbird Justine, I love how you use an office chair. I really dislike our dining chairs, but I recently got an insane deal on a nice, comfy side chair. (I got it for $40 at the store's outlet! :bunny) It's currently in the office at my puzzle desk...but maybe I should use it for scrapping at the dining table?
I sit & lie on the floor to stretch sometimes if I'm exhausted & that's about all, I sat on the floor to play a game with the kids before Xmas & my hips & back reminded me for the next few days why I don't sit on the floor so I don't think I could scrap at a coffee table; awesome chair deal & it does look quite comfy!
DD hasn't pulled out a jigsaw yet this holidays -they do get done more quickly at the table but she usually starts them on a board on the floor.. .

I'm scrapping in the same nook off my kitchen at the same desk and the same computer I have had since 2011. My family room is behind me and I have 3 windows to my right looking out into my backyard with lots of trees over the back fence.

Here's how it looks this evening.

I have a chaise chair in the living room, away from the TV in the family room. I use my laptop on my lap. Right now, my Christmas tree is right beside me. I did get a little table for Christmas and I may get a second monitor if (and that is a big IF) I get some extra money this year.

I envy those of you who can sit in your easy chairs or on your sofas and use your laptops. I guess I'm weird, because I just can't do that. Years ago, when I traveled a lot, I taught myself how to NOT use a mouse. But now, I'm so "mouse addicted" - I wish I could sit in my recliner and use my laptop.

I got rid of my desk last March and still haven't decided what kind of desk to get. So I've been using a double card table. My desktop unit is on top of a 2-drawer file cabinet to my left and my 2 23" monitors are in front of me. When I scrap I have PSP open on the left monitor and Picasa open on the right monitor. I have a hard time scrapping on my laptop with the small screen size and having to go between programs on the screen all the time.

And, when I feel like scrapping with paper, I have a folding table from Wal-Mart I can put up to make this into an L shape. I can also do jigsaw puzzles on that table. All in the comfort of my desk chair... that I found hiding in the basement during the great purge of 2018! Saved me from buying a new one since my previous chair was donated with the desk. That chair hurt my back so it needed to go.

My TV is to my right and a loveseat is on the wall behind me for when I want to take a nap.

Mine is a desktop computer with one screen on top of my messy, messy desk. We won't even mention the mess that surrounds the desk, either. I did clean it up a few months ago, but something happened and the mess came back. Funny how that happened, huh?

Currently, mine is just my laptop on my lap on the couch. I'm not very happy with it as scrapping on the laptop isn't good on my right wrist, but it's all I have right now since my main desktop (that was way better/faster) died on me. So jealous of those with a 2nd monitor!! I'd love that.

Since the two older kids moved out, DH and I each have our own office, so I scrap in my office with my 17" laptop connected to another 24" monitor. I scrap on the big one and watch movies and keep my file explorer open on the other. I'm really wanting another monitor so that everything has it's own screen :)

I use my desktop computer with moniter that is around 15 - 17 inches ( not sure)
Last year for MOC I was using my pen and wacom which I started to use the year before after suffering with a pinched nerve in my back and loved using it as I have short cuts set up on the wacom that I use a lot. But by the end of MOC6 my trigger thumb started to play and I never want a repeat of what happened with that thumb some years ago so I bought a microsoft ergonomical keyboard and mouse and love using it:

I still have the wacom sitting beside my mouse so I can use the short cut keys.

And I thought I was spoiled with two big monitors! THREE???!!! WOW. Nothing different for me. Wireless keyboard and mouse with my iMac...Don't see how anyone can watch TV and scrap at the same time. I can't even listen to music and scrap at the same time...unless it is "meditative" music for which there are no words (because I know the words to all the songs from the 50s thru the 70s and into the 80s, and when they play, I have to sing...can't do 2 things at once! LOL).

Ditto... except water, tea or Diet Wild Cherry Pepsi! :giggle
samisies plus netflix. or Something about tanks if hubby is around. I know alot of stuff about tanks now that a woman (not in the military) shouldn't know.

I'm addicted to scrapping with my laptop. Mostly in the living room. Depending on how things go, I might bring in my big monitor from my office and set it up, but I really prefer the screen on my MacBook Pro to the external monitor.

But now, I'm so "mouse addicted" - I wish I could sit in my recliner and use my laptop.
I am too. When I choose to be mobile, not usually scrapping, usually just typing! I have a portable mouse, and a lap desk. It's basically just a piece of wood with a cushion that sits on my lap and holds the laptop. Just enough room for the mouse!

I am another one that has to have a mouse when I use my laptop. I have gotten so used to having the 2 monitors that it is really hard to scrap with the laptop. I also cannot have it on my lap. The angle to look at the screen hurts my neck so I have to be at a desk or table to scrap so the screen is more on eye level. I don't necessarily watch TV while scrapping but I have to have sound of some kind in the background to drown out the buzzing in my ear. TV works.

Desktop computer in my "office", which happens to be in the middle of the house. I can see what's going on almost everywhere!
