Your scrapping set-up | Pad Patter 4 Jan

This! I also listen to either an audiobook or podcast.

Always an audiobook playing on my phone, too! For some reason I need silence while I am in the starting stages of a layout (choosing photos, kit, and template), but as soon as those decisions are made I put on an audiobook. What's funny is that I've noticed that when I'm in a book slump I scrap a lot less because I end up wasting time online. When I'm listening to a good series or book, I scrap more so I can listen.

I work on my laptop with a monitor beside it, both in the RV and at home. I have a mess on my desk, I really need to get it cleaned up, but this is where I create!

Most of the time my 15" laptop is on my desk in the family room and I have a travel mug of coffee or tea next to me. I miss having a 17" screen (and hope to go back to that size when I replace this laptop), but I don't think I'd like having a "real" monitor in addition to my laptop.
I used to have a 17" dell a while back but it was so darn heavy that it became a desktop really, lugging it around the house just didn't feel worth it - I got used to zooming in with the 15" & don't really miss it. DH uses the 2nd monitor dock method with his laptop & it doesn't suit me either

My computer is in our office (the hubby calls it my bear cave!)
Lol love that! He must know more bears than me, I don't know any that scrap!

. I had planned to use it to listen to cds, yes those old things, but haven't bothered yet. Later this month it goes to a charity and the printer
CDs!! That made me laugh! We have a not so old boombox still for the same reason but I think in about 5 yrs it's been used less than a dozen times; I keep forgetting to find somewhere local that will take waaay old laptops to strip for metals recycling - we saw a TV show about how few electronics get recycled & that so much of the inside technical bits are made of tiny bits of precious metals like gold & resources that are finite & recovering them is important but they end up dumped in landfill instead of in e-waste recycle centres - I love that you have a charity that can take them & give them a second life though!

I currently use my laptop in bed, not ideal but temporarily it works - once i’m on my own again I hope to have a laptop table or some sort of set up again as I probably won’t move my desk (too big and heavy for a small place basically)

I scrap at my desk (thank you Craigslist) with my desktop and MUST have two monitors. I have one 27" and one 24". I keep photoshop on the big screen and then on the other screen I have a couple file managers open to look and kits and photos and sometimes I even put Netflix on in the bottom corner of the 2nd screen. Usually that's too distracting so I try to still to music instead.

I have the desk that my husband built for me, a cushy office chair, the gaming desktop that I got two years ago and some sort of large monitor. (I'm embarrassed that I can't remember what size it is. Pretty big! My old one was 21" and this one is much bigger.) Before then, I was mostly using my laptop at my desk (with an additional external monitor), but I needed a new one and I was tired of having storage issues.

My keyboard has multicolor lights and clicks loudly when I tap on it. (It does make me happy to listen to it!) I have a mouse, although everywhere else I use a trackball; I just haven't had any desire to swap it out.

I do miss having the second monitor, but there just isn't space for one with my gigantic tower, and I prefer to have it accessible on top of the desk rather than tucked underneath, so I manage. LOL
