Yay! Partner assignments for the Lilypad Letters swap for DEC are here! Remember ... we will be taking a break in Jan to concentrate on MOC {Month of Challenges} ... but please list one or two ideas for a theme for February's swap. I'll do a poll mid January so you all can vote for the theme and to ensure we can get right back into things after MOC is over! CHRISTMAS @jenn mccabe and @Cherylndesigns @Kat and @michele hillam @Rikki and @EminePala_Art @Lena Gardner and @Sokee @ArmyGrl and @Carol K. Please remember: send a full trading card sized/9 pocket page protector with each pocket filled (& include a letter) to your partner. See my Pinterest Board for ideas regarding what to send. The original post with full details is HERE. Some helpful hints/tips to get started: PM your partner to get your swap going. Please do this right away at the beginning of the month. From there you can exchange emails or continue to exchange info via the PM/Conversation feature through the Lilypad site. Only share your personal info/address via PM/email. Follow your assigned theme. Regardless of what theme you signed up for, you can ask a few basic questions to find out what your partner likes. For example: flavors they like or don’t like or favorite colors. Anything they are obsessed with. It’s up to you. But sometimes this helps if you are sending little things like tea, etc. Be mindful of how much bulk/stuff you add. You can stuff to your heart’s content, but the bulk will add to the cost of shipping. Perhaps you and your partner can discuss if you prefer to “stuff” or go lighter/thinner? You have until the end of the month to get your letter in the mail to your partner. It does not have to arrive by the end of the month, it just should be mailed by the last day of the month. Please remember to take a photo before you send your letter out, but wait until you hear back from your partner (that they received it) to post the photo so you don’t spoil their Happy Mail surprise! Remember to use at least 75% TLP if using digi supplies. When you receive your letter, PM/email your partner to confirm you received it. Share what you made for December here in this thread (and in the gallery if it contains 50% TLP stuff) so we can oooh and ahhhh over your creations! Have FUN!!!!
YAY for the December PL post! I was hoping this would be posted today! Thanks for all of your hard work, Jenn!!
doggone it, I forgot to come back and sign up for the December pocket letter ugh, if anyone wants to swap or if someone has to back out, I'm available
Hi @robinsismai , I would love to do a swap with you too. If you don't mind that I am living in The Netherlands
I would be willing to swap with you. Please send me a p.m. so we can exchange addresses and I can get started!!
Dear @jenn mccabe want to let you know that I will be doing also a PL swap with dear @robinsismai So excited. Love from overseas
No worries - just let your partners know. We are taking a break from the swap for Jan and focusing on MOC - Month of Challenges, so you have time to catch up!
This is the letter I received from @Carol K. I LOVE it! With every letter, I learn something new. This time I am reminded how special it is to wrap the pocket letter. Look at what a fabulous job Carol did!!!! And, the mini letter...I gonna study that fold for sure. Its so cute!! And brown paper bag--I adore paper and texture. I have a stash of brown paper bag and wrappings from packages. This is a reminder to use those delightful items. Oh, how I am squealing with delight!!
@ArmyGrl , Lisa, thank you for the sweet praise & love. I think your photos make it look more "Christmas-y". You're a blessing! Fondly, Carol K.
This one for @Cherylndesigns was done with all old paper stash ... so only adding it in the thread. I had so much fun making this one for Cheryl but I totally forgot to add the letter! Duh! I owe her a letter one day soon! Photos are ick - but you get the gist! I just posted the sign ups for February which will be our next swap - MOC will be done - so I hope you all join in again ... and if anyone new is on the fence and wants to give this a try - I say jump in! You just need to get the pocket sleeves. Big box craft stores have them - Amazon has them. I stuff my pockets bc I think it's fun - but doing flatter simple pocket letters are totally fine and welcome too! @Rikki did a fun post on how easy it can be HERE. Let us know if you have any questions and if so inclined ... sign up here by the end of Jan!
Awwwwwww, Jenn, I absolutely loved your PL!!! I couldn't stop looking at it - that's how adorable it is! I'll post my letter here, in a few minutes. I know we can't put them in the gallery. My letter to you was all made from my old Christmas paper stash, too. Thanks for posting this and I'll post mine shortly. I need to round the pictures up.
Okie dokie - I just got back from dinner, but got this page put together before I left. This is the PL that I sent to Jenn @jenn mccabe for the December swap.
It was like opening/unwrapping a bunch of little presents - so love it! Love my planner clips too! So many details & finishing touches! Thank you Cheryl so much for my letter !
You're so welcome, Jenn. I felt the same way when I was opening yours. Everything I opened had more little presents in it!!
