journaling (translation made with Deepl)
I discovered scrapbooking by chance more than 8 years ago. At the time, I was looking for a way to create original birth announcements. After some research on the internet, I discovered digital scrapbooking. What I liked about it was that it didn't require a lot of equipment: a computer and kits (of course). I started by making my announcements and then I discovered the forums, the TSTs. I understood that scrapbooking was a way to sublimate photos. I like trying to make an album with my children's photos but without any real thread. Everything seemed disjointed and I wasn't really satisfied. And then during my walks on the forums I discovered the pocket pages and in particular the project life. I loved the principle: to make double pages that sum up a week. That was my common thread. Since 2014 now, every year I create a Project Life album so that my children can reread their little moments when they are older. To this, I add a Daily December for the month of December which is special with the expectation of Father Christmas.
But scrapbooking is not only about these albums. It is also a way to express emotions and it becomes a therapy that helps me to overcome difficult moments. And there have been some difficult moments... Scrap is an artistic way of expressing things, but it is also a great community that has allowed me to meet really nice people, even if only virtually through a forum. I can no longer do without this hobby, which has become a very important part of my life. It is my escape route. I am a scrap 'addict.
This is wonderful! I loved reading your journaling (thanks for the translation!), and love the artsy feel to this. Great page! Thanks for playing along with my challenge!
