Journaling:
After not traveling since the fall of 2019, right before the COVID pandemic shutdown, I finally went on an airplane again! Mary & Rich drove to visit us, and I drove back with them to their home to visit for a few days. While with Mary & Rich, I also went to visit with Gene and Patti for a few days. [I was going to fly home after being away for 5 days.] It was a great trip at our house. We took Mary and Rich to the Zoo and we went out to dinner having a great time. Unfortunately, the visit to our house got cut short by a day, due to Hurricane Ian was on it’s way. We needed to get on the road to drive to SC before getting caught in the storm. Mary and Rich’s new home in Conway, SC is beautiful. On Saturday after Hurricane Ian was gone, we went to explore Conway. This photo is from Downtown Conway, SC next to the Crooked Oak restaurant where we went for lunch. I love this railroad mural that is painted there! What a wonderful trip we had. From our home to theirs, and back home again, it was a terrific week for me!
