I’s been a long time since I created a layout about the coronavirus, covid-19, which caused a pandemic. It’s almost one year ago that our country went into a lockdown and the world stood still. Now, almost one year later, we are almost still in the same place as a year ago. Our country is still in a semi-lockdown. Wearing masks is obligated, hairdressers are closed, the borders are closed for everyone who doesn’t need to cross the border, kids in 5th and 6th grade have to wear masks in class all day. We are allowed to go shopping, but by ourselfs. We can’t take a second person. Restaurants are closed since October and we still have to work from home. The numbers of the coronacases go up again, more and more people end up in hospital or die. People are afraid of a third wave. They are talking about closing the schools again or adding a second week to the next school holiday. Belgium has started vaccinating residents of elderly homes and medical staff. All other people still have to wait a few months before they get their vaccine. IF everything goes according to plan. I’m sick and tired of it. There is no hope for improvement yet. I follow all the rules and I will continue to do so, but I will be so happy when life will return to normal!
I love how you duplicated one of your pages from one of the other MOC challenges, but totally changed it up! COVID is definitely exhausting. I think we all yearn for normalcy! It's been a long year!
Love your layering with all the elements tucked into it, Sarah. I am so sorry to read that W lost his job. I enjoyed reading your journaling. It is interesting for me to see how the pandemic is handled in different parts of the world. Like you, I long for a return to normalcy. You have created another wonderful page for this challenge. xo
@JenEm Thank you so much, my friend! You know how much I appreciate that! W is an IT consultant and the company he works for didn't get new assignments due to coronavirus. His old assignment was finished. He was new in his job, so he was one of the first ones they had to let go. (He was not the only one). He found a new job, but he's waiting to hear about the conditions. It's all taking a lot of time.
