I’s been a long time since I created a layout about the coronavirus, covid-19, which caused a pandemic. It’s almost one year ago that our country went into a lockdown and the world stood still. Now, almost one year later, we are almost still in the same place as a year ago. Our country is still in a semi-lockdown. Wearing masks is obligated, hairdressers are closed, the borders are closed for everyone who doesn’t need to cross the border, kids in 5th and 6th grade have to wear masks in class all day. We are allowed to go shopping, but by ourselfs. We can’t take a second person. Restaurants are closed since October and we still have to work from home. The numbers of the coronacases go up again, more and more people end up in hospital or die. People are afraid of a third wave. They are talking about closing the schools again or adding a second week to the next school holiday. Belgium has started vaccinating residents of elderly homes and medical staff. All other people still have to wait a few months before they get their vaccine. IF everything goes according to plan. I’m sick and tired of it. There is no hope for improvement yet. I follow all the rules and I will continue to do so, but I will be so happy when life will return to normal!
Amen to that my friend. It is definitely getting on my nerves too, though we are not as restricted as you. .. I like the page a lot , and your journaling and highlighted words is really speaking truth.
@Vrielinkie Yeah, I heard it was even worse in the Netherlands. They are talking about closing schools here as well. Kids older than 12 go to school one week and get online school the next. Kids younger than 12 go to school like normal, but if they are between 1 and 12 years old, they have to wear a maks the whole day. I hope this all ends soon, but I'm afraid they end isn't near yet.
@ajm It's sad, isn't it. We're almost 1 year further and the situation is still the same. Haven't we learned anything? Yes, me too... hoping for better times.
@cfile Thank you so much, Christa! Me too! It's so sad for a lot of people. Not only families who have lost loved ones, but also people who lost their businessess, their dreams... My boyfriend lost his job due to the coronavirus.
I hope you and your family are all safe and healthy as well.
@Nemla Thank you so much for your kind words. I really appreciate them. It really bothers me that this whole situation started a year ago and it's like we learned nothing.
Oh gosh Sarah, you really made that template stand out! Your layers are gorgeous, your journaling so relatable, & of course your photo perfectly represents your journaling. I'm sure things will get better. I'm a healthcare worker & I do see hope. Thank you for joining along.
@jesskab Thank you so much for your kind and encouraging words. Thank you so much for this challenge! I have always wanted to hightlight words, 'cause it often looks really cool, but I just never did it.
Wow! I would applaud for you! I'm sure 2020 wasn't the easiest year for you! But I think you can be very proud of yourself.
