thisi is such a beautiful design. and are lovely house. it is hard when you have to leave something and someone. i am glad you have memories to hold on to.
I can so relate to your emotions and how hard this hit you as I experienced much of the same when my dad died and I was left to clean out and sell the house (some of which I related in my day 10 MOC layout). Beautiful page. I like the amount of white space that lets the whole breathe.
Powerful journaling and I too get very attached to houses, I recently put mine on the market to have a new one built, but when I really started looking at it, I realized it was a bad move, so I pulled my house off the market (which I had really fallen in love with as I had packed it up to put on market) and I lost my earnest money & other monies, $20K to be exact, but I still know it was the right move. This house I'm living in is the right one for me right now, in a couple years I will likely move again, as I will be an empty nester, so no need to live in a 4-bedroom home. Getting back to your layout, I love the way you used a separator, I always forget about putting cool things like that in my layouts, it's a nice touch.
@myka thank you so much Re the house, yes I understand changing your mind and staying put for a while more. I always look at moving like an adventure, but the house of Dad's was three-fold as it was an end. Mom was gone, he was now gone, and now the house was gone. I am glad you love your home. I agree we have a 3 bedroom 2 story, and I would love to be in a one story house now LOL.. 22 years ago when we bought the 2 story it was fine, but I was 39 then LOL
