My husband shot this picture in January 2009. It was not my idea of pleasant, snowy, cozy time at home. Still it was a nice dream. Nature was resplendent for several days after the storm, but much better viewed from indoors where we at least had a propane heater until power was restored. WE live in a very rural area and this tree stood sentry over its property, glistening and sparkling in the frigid days after the big ice storm in 2009. I love seeing it any time of year. It’s like seeing an old friend as it waves its leafy hands in greeting.
