I remember a time when we had no user names - no online forums - no online communities. I remember my first online community I joined - ivillage. I started my online presence with the user name JlynnA12. I figured it was easy - first name, first initial of last name, birth date. As the years went by and communities grew more intense and there became more of them, I realized I should probably have something a bit more generic. So, I took my favorite Disney character, Tinkerbell, and combined her with my birth month and birth date. I now keep that as my online user name for as many places I can. There are a few from before the days I created this one that still use the old one. But that's ok. ....I like being Tinkerbell - cute, spunky, sassy, loyal, and represents my favorite shade of green!! Above are a few of my avatar photos I've used recently. I typically find a photo I like and keep it until I have another one I like! If I don't want my face out there, I use my mug - or a Starbucks cup.
