One wish I have is to hear your sweet voice, I have had this wish for many years but it still has not come true, I can vaguely remember you shouting mumma at me and bot bot when you was so small, but then by the time you was 2 it has all but slipped away, and now just a memory of your voice as a baby. So many questions we have asked and seen so many different doctors, but no-one can tell me if you will ever talk again, they say “we can improve on the sounds we have”, but you will never be able to hold a real conversation with us, you only say a few one word answers or grunts. We will never understand truly what your day at school has been like or if you have had a bad day, we will never know what you want for your birthday as you never ask for anything, and never know if you are hurting, as you very really cry. I guess boys your age don't do that anyway One day my wish may come true just to hear you say “I love you Mummy”, i know you sign it and grunt it, but real words is what my heart is longing to hear, and just to hear it once would be enough.
You have changed so much in the last few years, growing up really suits you, you are turning into a very handsome young man.
We are very lucky to have you and to be on this journey with you is such a
blessing.
