There is nothing better than handmade hot cross buns on Easter Sunday morning. This year we actually had our Easter celebrations on Good Friday as we wanted to make sure Sunday was kept for Mum’s birthday - a doubling up of Easter and her birthday happen every so often when Easter happens in March. While making them takes a long time, it was worth every single bit of love and effort. They were absolutely delicious straight out of the oven with some butter on them. It was so hard to stop at one! After we made them we vowed to make this our new easter tradition, we would much rather have these than chocolate easter eggs any day.
