We often talk about our trips to
Disney World and how much of our
budget goes towards them (a lot!) and
whenever we’re having the discussion
about whether we should go again we
always come to the conclusion that the
family time shared and memories made
are worth every penny.
As the years have gone by the discussion
has gotten so much easier, partiallly
because we have a little more money to
spend on vacations these days (thank you
Lord!), but mostly because we have years
of wonderufl memories built up to look back
on. Evidence of money well spent.
Now that my oldest son is married and off
on his own and my youngest is about to be
a senior in high school, I truly wish we
had taken more trips and longer trips with
the boys.
I honestly couldn’t tell you what we spent
the money on during the years we didn’t
go to Disney. Nothing in particualar stands
out, but I can tell you dozens of stories
that make me smile, cry and laugh out loud,
all of them part of our disney vacations.
As a young mother it’s hard to know just
how lightning fast the time is going to
go. How your little boys will soon be
taller than you and out having their own
adventures.
Looking back I can see it now and I under-
stand. So while I can’t go back in time
I can be so grateful for the times we said
yes to disney and maybe pass a little of
that wisdom on to my boys.
