Journaling:
Dad never liked to ride any rides at amusement parks, so the duty to ride with me always fell to mom. I’m not sure she always wanted to ride, but she always did. She was always there for me so I didn’t have to ride alone. I’m sure this applies beyond amusements parks and to her being my mom in general. Sometimes our ride together was smooth and fun... big smiles and laughter. Other times the ride was too bumpy, too fast, too scary and there was yelling and tears. But much like the amusement park rides, she was always there for me on my life adventures. Some of those rides were not her choice, but she was there for me regardless. Always by my side, helping me enjoy the ride.
