(And the title is strategically place to cover up my dad's thumb which is in most of the photos I have from this trip)
Journaling: Dad never liked to ride any rides at amusement parks, so the duty to ride with me always fell to mom. I’m not sure she always wanted to ride, but she always did. She was always there for me so I didn’t have to ride alone. I’m sure this applies beyond amusements parks and to her being my mom in general. Sometimes our ride together was smooth and fun... big smiles and laughter. Other times the ride was too bumpy, too fast, too scary and there was yelling and tears. But much like the amusement park rides, she was always there for me on my life adventures. Some of those rides were not her choice, but she was there for me regardless. Always by my side, helping me enjoy the ride.
Boy, do I love everything about this! The composition is perfection and I love the complementary colors. The retro feel of your title is spot on. and of course the journaling!
Way to hide that thumb I never would've known if you didn't say anything! I love the colors and how they complement the ride. The story and analogy in your journaling is so great. The heart at the end of the journaling is the perfect touch; I've never thought about doing that!
Thank you so much @ashleywb and @umyesh! I have to thank Anne for that heart at the end... her slow scrap rules required me to find a place for one more heart, so I thought I would stick it there (and it was something I wouldn't have ever done without the prompt... which is why I love doing challenges here at TLP!).
your welcome, because the heart is perfect! tee hee...I laughed right out loud at the thumb of your dad! I think that is my favorite part! What a joy your mom was thru all the wild rides in life you took her on too. Thank you for playing along with me! Happy Mother's Day to YOU too!
