My initial response when I was asked to sing at the Christmas program for the temple school was a very firm “NOPE”. But then, my convictions set in and I thought, I’ve already learned two songs in Thai ... maybe this was the reason for learning them? So, I put on a brave face, and with an incredibly shaky voice, sang 2 songs in Thai, with Andrew playing guitar. I still can’t believe I did it, but I think the kids enjoyed having a white woman singing Christmas songs in a language they could understand!
