Here's my childhood quilt. These were my favorite things. I had to include the gun. My grandfather got me a leather holster with two pearl handle toy guns. It was my pride and joy.

I noticed the fan too. Ours was in the window and it it was set to blow hot air out of the house. I had a six shooter with a black holster. All of the kids did and westerns were the most popular shows on TV once it was invented. lol Love your LO!
@mcurtt That was the worst! Trying to go to sleep in that heat! I used to actually put my pillow on the window sill just trying to catch ANY slight breeze. Back in those days, we had to sleep with the windows open. We eventually got a window unit, but it was in the kitchen. AHHHHH, the good ole days.
@wvsandy Thanks so much, Sandy! I had fun with it - once I got a vision. Haha I would have loved a black holster! Mine was brown. Ahhhhhh, those fans - ugh. They didn't do much good, but it was all we had. Thanks for your sweet comments.
ohhhhh my sister!!!! so sooooooo amazing!!!!!!!!! not just the page bringing the memories into images so well, but also the fact that we are connecting (all of us) and seeing how much in common many of us has, though growing up in different parts of the world... I love when the conversations happen started by a page.... and you are most certainly a conversation starter (of course, so loved by everyone!!!) The Cowboy Boots are my most precious possession....even though since 2003 I haven't been able to use them, when they operated the first time, they made me 3. & 1/2 cms taller on my right leg, which was supposed to even out when they operated in the other leg, but since the initial error wasn't fixed by the following 3 operations I had them trying to fix it... I didn't let them... so I need a shoe rise and the boots have an inclination on the heel that would make it dangerous to walk.... the fan is something of my childhood and teenage years with my parents, but even going into adult times... I have some issues with AC, long story, but the guns, hat, boots, the horses, the telephone, and, above all : the Always Reading thing..... no wonder we are sisters in soul!!!!! LOVE the way you put together all the memories!!!!!!
Thanks you so much for playing with us!!!
@MrsPeel Thank you for your wonderful (as always) comments, My Sister!! I truly think we were sisters in another life. We have so many commonalities - there are so many commonalities among the wonderful members here at The Lilypad, though. We all just "gel" and it's such a privilege to have become a member here and to have made such wonderful online friends. Thanks so much for the wonderful challenge! How fun to walk down memory lane and come up with this childhood quilt. Love you SO much and I hope everything is going as well as can be expected in these crazy times.
