After practicing yoga on and off for several years, in 2019 I made the connection that when I was consistent with yoga practice, I had more patience and tolerance for the stresses in the workplace. I wanted to learn more. After some consideration, I enrolled in a teacher training program, not so I could teach but as a guide to deepen my understanding. A major takeaway from the ancient words of Patanjali - “Yoga Chitta Vritti Nirodha” which is translated to mean that Yoga is the removal of the waves of the mind. A holistic yoga practice weaves meditation for our spiritual being, asana for our physical, pranayama for taking in oxygen and soothing the nervous system. There is so much more about kindness and self-learning rooted in this ancient wisdom. But these make up the core of what we may experience in a typical yoga class which helps us guide our mind away from the chaos, to focus on the present, at least for a few moments as we try and carry that peace throughout our days. While I may not have a “formal” yoga practice each day, I have become more successful at taking each day as it comes, and “letting go” of the annoyances that can pop up in everyday life.
Oh wow! This layout is beautiful! I LOVE the image of the girl surrounded by flowers and butterflies and the color choices are so peaceful and pretty! That's so awesome that you were able to do a teacher training program to learn even more about yoga. It's something I've always wanted to try, but never have.
