What a wonderful page expressing the difficulties and ways of overcoming them. I am 100% with you on the trials of hidden disabilities. This is beautifully written and beautifully scrapped, the cluster is just so beautiful.
hugs- my mom has profound hearing lost since she was 25 (failed surgery and then a severe ear infection... losing all hearing in the right and 40% in the left)... she had the all in the hear for many years - the most powerful that could be found - and then she would react to the ear molds and her ear would swell so much that she couldn't wear them... finally having to go to the over the year. She then was put on medication for Lymes and that took all the rest of her hearing. 8 years ago she was told about CI's for the first time... changed her world. She went from never leaving the house to the world open to her... now she has two cholera implants, a hearing dog... helps many people deal with hearing lost... she is on the go.
A beautiful page, full of heart-felt honest journaling. I love that you have included an audiologic evaluation form in with your clustering. Thank you for sharing your experiences with us.
